AI and supercomputing are beginning to reshape R&D, giving research teams new ways to explore ideas, work with complex data and shorten the path from discovery to real-world application.   At the 8th Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Research & Innovation Conference, Salam Awawdeh, Senior Managing Director of Energy & Chemicals, moderated a discussion on what this shift could mean for the region’s chemicals and energy sectors, where the potential is substantial.   Realizing that potential will take more than technology. Human expertise, reliable testing and a deliberate focus on cybersecurity will be just as important as these tools become more widely used. AI is creating new opportunities to reinvent how organisations operate, serve customers and create value. We're pleased to partner with e& UAE to explore how our combined capabilities can help accelerate AI-led transformation across government and enterprise sectors in the UAE.   We aim to help clients navigate complexity, accelerate innovation and deliver meaningful outcomes across markets. Over four days at LEAP, our teams led 25 booth sessions, brought 7 speakers to stages across the event and ran 21 live demos, alongside meetings with clients and partners. The week explored how AI is reshaping the way energy, cities and businesses operate, while keeping people, creativity and trust at the heart of that shift. We connected these possibilities with the cloud, cyber and sovereign foundations needed to make them work in practice, and launched our Architecting Sovereign AI report with a Middle East perspective on turning ambition into lasting value.   Thank you to everyone who spent time with us in Riyadh and contributed to making it a memorable week. Saudi Arabia's digital transformation momentum continues to grow. Together with Microsoft, we're supporting organizations as they take advantage of the new Microsoft Saudi Arabia East Cloud Region, helping them modernize with confidence, meet evolving compliance requirements, and accelerate innovation in support of Vision 2030.

AI, technology and human ingenuity, all in a day’s work at LEAP 2026. We closed our four days in Riyadh with a look at how creativity brings new ideas to life and how autonomous security operations can help protect the systems businesses rely on. Our week has been all about bringing our people and ideas together to help shape what’s next, with human experience at the heart of it. Putting AI to work takes more than technology. That’s where we picked up the conversation on day three at LEAP. We got into what it takes to lead a business through AI transformation and launched our Architecting Sovereign AI report at DeepFest.
