BNP Paribas, HSBC and Siemens have completed the first corporate treasury flow on Swift's ledger. Another step towards bringing digital value into real-world use, demonstrating how new digital capabilities can work alongside existing banking infrastructure to support an increasingly 24/7 global economy. #CrossBorderPayments #SwiftBlockchainLedger

This milestone was achieved without changing accounts, payment instructions, or treasury operating models. As Heiko Nix, Global Head of Cash Management & Payments, Siemens, explains “the real value emerges when banks translate new infrastructures into an always-on service for corporates, while accounts, payment instructions and operating models remain unchanged. That is when innovation in payments becomes adoptable at scale”. This captures BNP Paribas strategy to deliver 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 while preserving the simplicity corporates need. For Pierre Fersztand, Global Head of Cash Management, Trade and Factor, BNP Paribas “This is a significant milestone in the evolution of cross-border payments. This achievement reflects BNP Paribas’ ongoing collaboration with Swift to shape the next phases of the ledger’s development. By supporting this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to industrialising digital finance at scale.” 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱. ➡️ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲: https://lnkd.in/ebB8XuJp
