  • Faith is talking about what success looks like for her as an Executive Assistant. But there’s a deeper story underneath it. Listen a little closer and you’ll hear the evolution of her journey as an Executive Assistant. She’s learnt to understand her executive beyond the task list by noticing how he communicates, anticipating what he needs, and creating space for him when the day gets difficult. At some point in that journey, she’s built the confidence to raise her hand, share an idea, and suggest a different approach. The unexpected outcome: the positive feedback she receives and gaining more confidence in her own thinking. Interesting, yes? Because, what looks like a success story on the surface is really a story about becoming. Becoming more observant, confident, trusted, more willing to contribute, and more capable of thinking beyond the obvious. Now she’s become the strategic partner who isn’t just helping an executive get things done. She’s also helping them think about what comes next.

  • A strong partnership is built in the small moments. The conversations that create understanding. The decisions that build confidence. The moments when you trust someone enough to give them more room to lead. The willingness to listen when you see things differently, speak up when something feels off, and give each other the space to bring your strengths to the table. Over time, those moments create something that goes beyond working well together. They create the confidence to think together, challenge each other, and rely on each other's strengths. That's the kind of partnership we value at Athena. One where trust creates room for people to take ownership, grow in their roles, and do their best work. And perhaps that's what makes a partnership truly work, knowing you can count on each other while still giving each other room to be your unique selves. What’s one thing someone you work with has done that made you trust them more?

Bayanihan comes to life when we show up for one another. The Cavite Regional Visit brought together 118 Atheneans and companions for an afternoon of connection, collaboration, Filipino pride, and community impact. From meaningful conversations and team activities to celebrating our heritage and supporting Biyaya Animal Sanctuary, every moment reflected how we live our Core Values as One Athena. Because when we work together with purpose, we create a stronger community for everyone. Everyday Heroes. One Bayanihan. One Athena.

Bianka’s day as an Executive Assistant sounds pretty straightforward. Emails. Messages. Deadlines. Logistics. Events. Follow-ups. You name it. But between every task, there’s a lot of thinking happening. What are my client’s priorities? What deserves attention first? What can wait? What needs to happen next? What will make my client’s day easier? That’s a big part of how an Executive Assistant works. The role requires more than keeping up with the to-do list. It requires making decisions with confidence and taking ownership when something needs to move. And that’s where much of Bianka’s growth has happened.

You don’t need previous Executive Assistant experience to be a great fit for the role. Recruiters certainly consider experience, but they're often trying to answer a different question: How is this person likely to show up in the role? The answer rarely comes from a job title alone. It comes from patterns that appear across someone's career, patterns that reveal how they approach responsibility, support others, and respond when expectations are high. Those patterns can be found in almost any profession. The carousel explores four signs you may already be thinking like an Executive Assistant, even if you've never held the title. Which one sounds most like you?

Don’t sit on your life without a team to support you. Just make sure the team you choose has got your back. This was the spirit and energy of Connect 2026. When the games began, we showed up, backed each other, and gave it our all. The competition was real, we had something to prove, and as you can see, everyone had a convincing argument for why their team deserved the bragging rights. Safe to say, the teams have unfinished business. Looks like we need a rematch. Athena Connect 2026, we’re definitely doing this again.

Yes, the work of an Executive Assistant is to make their client’s work easier. But there’s a lot more happening behind the scenes. For Julio, the role has become a space to grow professionally. He’s gained greater confidence to speak up in rooms that once felt out of reach, anticipate needs, solve problems, and take ownership of his work. Working with different people, perspectives, and ways of thinking has also shaped how he approaches his work and the opportunities around him. And through it all, he’s discovered that his impact can extend far beyond his role. That’s been Julio’s experience as an Executive Assistant at Athena. That’s what Athena is about: creating careers where the work you do for others also creates room for you to grow.
