Abstract
The present invention is a hand-held punching tool that can easily reach all sides of an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) sized paper and can punch the paper properly to create a template answer key during the reading and evaluation of exam papers designed to be used in multiple choice exams to be held in the assessment and evaluation phase, which is one of the basic elements of education.

EXAM PAPER PUNCHING TOOL
Field of the Invention
In the present invention, teachers design exam papers with answer keys to be used in multiplechoice exams for crowded classes in the assessment and evaluation phase, which is one of the basic elements of education, during the reading and evaluation of exam papers, the answer key created by punching a blank exam paper is used as a template and the questions answered correctly can be easily determined with this punched exam paper. The exam paper punching tool that will be used to punch the exam paper is a hand-held punching tool that can easily reach all sides of an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) sized paper and can punch the paper properly.
State of the Art
In courses with a large number of students, assessment and evaluation are generally carried out with multiple choice exams, optical forms and optical reader devices are used to evaluate these forms in large-scale institutional exams or central exams. However, it is not possible for every teacher to obtain and use such devices. Instead, there is an answer chart on which students can mark the option with the correct answer to the questions. The example given in Figure 1 is an exam paper created for this purpose, and during the evaluation phase of the exam, the places where the correct options are marked are determined by using the holes opened in the sections where the correct options are located on another exam paper. The sample reading paper given in Figure 2 is punched for this purpose, and on the exam paper given in Figure 1 , the student indicates the answers he/she gives by scribbling or marking on the chart, and the student's exam paper is overlapped with the punched paper given in Figure 2, and the exam grade is calculated by counting the correct and incorrect answers.
The process of perforating the paper shown in Figure 2 at appropriate places is done either by burning or by cutting it using a utility knife or scissors. These processes are both laborious and time-consuming. Current punches have the feature of making two holes and can punch holes at short distances. However, there is no hole punch that can reach every point of exam papers and standard A4 papers.
In the document numbered US8122805B2, which is another patent document in the art, the tool is a paper processing tool for cutting and punching papers in the office environment with an arm that can be moved in a planar area.
When the studies in the state of the art are examined, it is seen that an exam paper punching tool is needed.
Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a hand-held punching tool, which meets the above-mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages, can easily reach all sides of an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) sized paper and can punch the paper properly to be used by teachers in multiple choice exams for large classes to create an answer key by punching a blank exam paper as a template during the reading and evaluation of exam papers.
The primary aim of the present invention is to create a template by punching the options containing the correct answers on the answer sheet when creating an answer key in multiple choice exams.
The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following detailed description. Therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking this detailed description into consideration.
Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the exam paper punching tool is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
The present invention is a hand-held punching tool that can easily reach all sides of an A4 (21 cm x 29.7cm) sized paper and can punch the paper properly to create answer keys for multiple-choice exams to be held by teachers for large classes during the assessment and evaluation phase, which is one of the basic elements of education.
In its most preferred form, the invention is an exam paper punching tool.
The exam paper punching tool is shown in Figure 3.
The tool given in Figure 3 consists of the following; i. Dimensions; It is 1 .5 cm wide (1 ), 15 cm long (2) and 3 cm high (3). ii. The lower and upper layers have a hinge structure that can be moved (4). iii. In order to separate the punching tip from the paper during paper punching, there is a spiral spring (5) that will push the upper layer and a flexible wire (6) that will push the paper.
iv. The punching tip is metal, the tip has sharp edges and its diameter is 0.6 cm (7). v. The inside of the punching tool (8) is at least 10.5 cm deep in order to reach all sides of an A4 size paper. vi. The bottom and top layers of the hole punch can be made of wood, hard plastic or metal.
The working principle of the exam paper punching tool is given in Figure 4.
In terms of its working principle, the tool is capable of reaching all points of A4 size paper and making holes with the working opportunity provided by the dimensions given in Figure 3.
With all these features, an answer key template will be created by punching a blank exam paper in creating answer keys in multiple choice exams during the assessment and evaluation phase, which is one of the basic elements of the education that is the subject of the invention, with the exam paper punching tool, holes can be made by easily reaching all sides of an A4 size paper, and existing problems specific to this process will be eliminated.
With the tool of the present invention, the effort, loss of labor and time caused by the methods used in the field of invention are prevented, and an improvement is achieved in the evaluation phase of multiple-choice exams in the education sector.
Claims
1. Exam paper punching tool, hand-held punching tool being used to create an answer key by punching a blank exam paper as a template during the reading and evaluation of exam papers for use in multiple-choice exams, characterized in that, it has a suitable dimension to easily reach all sides of an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) sized paper.
2. A method according to claim 1 , characterized in that; it is capable of punching A4 paper properly.
