Abstract

The present invention is directed to an oral nicotine delivery device and a method of using the device to reduce the incidence of tobacco smoking in a person. The device comprises a tubular chamber (10) having a first end (12) suitable for taking in liquid or gas from an external source and a second end (14) suitable for the application of oral suction. The chamber contains nicotine (16) and a retainer (18) for preventing release of the nicotine (16) from the first end (12) of the chamber (10). The device delivers nicotine (16) in non-irritating solution form.
