Abstract

Disclosed is a system and a method for bi-directional advertisement related with wire, wireless or mobile communication network. The system and method for bi-directional advertisement related with wire, wireless or mobile communication network is to make a user surely recognize advertisements provided from a server using wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal connected to wire and wireless public switched telephone network (PSTN) or mobile communication network. The system for bi-directional advertisement includes: a terminal connected to wire or wireless public switched telephone network (PSTN) or mobile communication network; and a server providing bi-directional advertisements to the terminal. The method for bi-directional advertisement includes the steps of: connecting to a server through a terminal (i.e., a PCS, a cellular phone, a WAP terminal, a PDA or an IMT-2000 terminal) connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication network; authorizing use of a bi-directional ad site via the server when a user inputs the user's personal information; temporarily providing bi-directional advertisements to the user, who directly connects to the server, if the user does not want to be authorized; extracting advertisement from an ad database and outputting to the user's telephone if authorized; transmitting ad keyword to the server when the user, who heard the output advertisement, inputs the ad keyword in a voice type; recognizing the transmitted ad keyword as a voice type; comparatively operating the recognized ad keyword with voice parameter extracted from a voice parameter database; notifying the comparatively operated result to the user's terminal; and providing the user with benefits according to the comparatively operated result.

Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL ADVERTISEMENT RELATED WITH WIRE, WIRELESS AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION
NETWORK
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a system and a method for bi-directional advertisement, and more particularly, to a system and a method for bi-directional advertisement, which are capable of providing advertisements through wire or wireless communication terminals connected to wire or wireless communication networks in a bi-directional ad server.
BACKGROUND ART
Presently, there is not a widely and generally used ad method using communication means connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication networks, but only the method that bestows ad benefit to a user if the user sees or hears advertisements unilaterally provided via a server is known.
However, the conventional ad method makes the user get ads not in an active manner but in a passive manner.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a system and a method for bi-directional advertisement, which provide advertisements through terminals connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication networks, and allow a user to pronounce only ad keyword of ad contents provided by the above method, so that the user recognizes advertisements in an active manner. To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a system for bidirectional advertisement, comprising: terminals connected to wire or wireless public switched telephone network (PSTN) or mobile communication network; and a server providing bi-directional advertisements to the terminal. In the system for bi-directional advertisement, the terminals are communication means such as general telephones connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication network, cellular phones, PCSs. WAP terminals, PDAs and IMT-2000 terminals.
To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method for bi- directional advertisement, comprising the steps of: connecting to a server through a terminal (i.e., a PCS, a cellular phone, a WAP terminal, a PDA or an IMT-2000 terminal) connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication network; authorizing use of a bi-directional ad site via the server when a user inputs the user's personal information; temporarily providing bi-directional advertisements to the user, who directly comiects to the server, if the user does not want to be authorized; extracting advertisement from an ad database and outputting to the user's telephone if authorized; transmitting ad keyword to the server when the user, who heard the output advertisement, inputs the ad keyword in a voice type; recognizing the transmitted ad keyword as a voice type; comparatively operating the recognized ad keyword with voice parameter extracted from a voice parameter database; notifying the comparatively operated result to the user's terminal; and providing the user with benefits according to the comparatively operated result. BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The present invention will now be described in connection with its preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As shown in Fig. 1, a configuration of a system for bi-directional advertisement according to the present invention includes a server 80 providing bidirectional advertisements to a wireless communication terminal 10 which is connected to a wireless communication network for providing a user with bidirectional advertisements, a wire communication terminal 20 which is connected to a wire communication network for providing the user with bi-directional advertisements and a mobile communication terminal 29 which is connected to a mobile communication network for providing the user with bi-directional advertisements. The wireless and mobile communication terminals used in this invention are PCSs, cellular phones, WAP terminals, PDAs and IMT-2000 terminals.
Meanwhile, the server 80 includes a wireless communication network connecting unit 30, a wire communication network connecting unit 40, a mobile communication network connecting unit 49, a voice recognition unit 50, an arithmetic unit 60 and a database 70.
The wireless communication network connecting unit 30, the wire communication network connecting unit 40 and the mobile communication network connecting unit 49 are connected to a wireless communication terminal, a wire communication terminal and a mobile communication terminal respectively so as to display advertisements on a monitor of each terminal or to output ad keyword in a voice type before a call is put through. In such a manner, the ad keyword of the bidirectional advertisement displayed on the monitor or output as the voice type is input to the server in a user's voice type. The ad keyword input in the user's voice is recognized in the voice recognition unit 50.
The arithmetic unit 60 compares the ad keyword recognized by the voice recognition unit 50 with voice parameter extracted by the database 70 and displays the comparatively operated result on the monitor of the user's terminal or outputs it to the monitor in the voice type.
The wireless communication network connecting unit 30, the wire communication network connecting unit 40 and the mobile communication network connecting unit 49 have a program inside, which embodies a CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) board, respectively, are connected to the wire, wireless and mobile communication terminals, provide ad information stored in the database 70 through the connected wireless, wire and mobile communication terminals, and transmit ad keyword, which the user pronounced and input using the wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal, to the voice recognition unit 50. The voice recognition unit 50 recognizes the ad keyword transmitted by the user's voice from the wireless communication network connecting unit 30, the wire communication network connecting unit 40 and the mobile communication network connecting unit 49, directly connects to the database 70 and transmits it to the arithmetic unit 60 for comparatively operating the recognized ad keyword with voice parameter exercised in an off-line state.
The arithmetic unit 60 applies algorithm for voice end-point detection to the ad keyword input through the wireless communication network connecting unit 30, the wire communication network connecting unit 40 or the mobile communication network unit 49 and collects only contents, which the user pronounced, to compare it with the exercised voice parameter being in the database 70. The comparison result is notified to the user through the wireless communication terminal 10 or the wire communication terminal 20 connected to the wireless communication network connecting unit 30, the wire communication network connecting unit 40 or the mobile communication network connecting unit 49, respectively. As shown in Fig. 2, the database 70 constructed in the server 80 includes a user information database 71, a voice parameter database 72, a cyber money database 73 and an ad database 74.
The user information database 71 authorizes a user for permitting use of bidirectional advertisement service and stores the user's personal information. The voice parameter database 72 stores ad keywords, provided by an advertiser, in voice parameter type exercised in the off-line state, and sets data for extracting voice parameter to be comparatively operated when the ad keyword input by the user is recognized in the voice recognition unit 50. The cyber money database 73, if the ad keyword recognized in the voice recognition unit 50 and the voice parameter extracted from the voice parameter database 72, which are comparatively operated, are identical, stores up data for providing various benefits such as free call by payment of cyber money, reduction of charge of information utilization, supply of electronic cash and provision of giveaway. The ad database 74 stores audio files, in which various kinds of sentences including core words of advertisements provided by the advertiser, full-motion files and ad parameters exercised in the off-line state and sets data for extracting ad data to be provided to the user's wireless communication terminal 10, wire communication terminal 20 or mobile communication terminal 29. A preferred embodiment of the system for bi-directional advertisement according to the present invention will be described hereinafter referring to Fig. 3.
First, when the user connects to the bi-directional ad server through the wireless communication terminal 10, wire communication terminal 20 or mobile communication tenninal 29 (Step S31), a bi-directional ad home pate is displayed on the terminal (Step S32). The system checks whether or not the user is one of members (Step S33), if not, registers the user as a member (Step S34), and then, stores the user's personal information into the user information database 71 (Step S35).
If the user is one of the members, the server provides the bi-directional advertisement to be displayed on the terminal (Step S36). The ad keyword selected by the user from the bi-directional advertisements displayed on the monitor or a receiver of the terminal is transmitted to the server 80 in the voice type (Step S37).
If the ad keyword transmitted to the server 80 is the voice type, it is transmitted to the voice recognition unit 50 and recognized (Step S38). The ad keyword recognized in the voice recognition unit 50 and the voice parameter extracted from the voice parameter database 72 are comparatively operated (Step S39), and the comparatively operated result is notified to the user's data terminal device 10, 20 or 29 through the communication network connecting unit 30, 40 or 49 (Step S40). According to the success number of the voice recognition recorded in the user information, various benefits such as free call by cyber money, supply of electronic cash, provision of giveaway or the likes.
Meanwhile, also non-authorized users can connect to the bi-directional advertisement server to utilize the advertisement service, and be benefited by cyber money and free call as much as they used the bi-directional advertisement service. Furthermore, in case that the user is benefited by free call, the system for bidirectional advertisements provides bi-directional advertisements at the early stage of call to make the free call possible, and keeps the free call if the advertisement keyword input by the user during call and the voice parameter stored in the parameter database are comparatively operated and identical. Meanwhile, a further preferred embodiment according to the present invention will be described hereinafter referring to Fig. 4.
As shown in Fig. 4, by the method for bi-directional advertisements according to the present invention, the user can be provided with the bi-directional ad service without directly connecting to the server once the user's wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal is registered in the bi-directional server.
For this, first, the user's wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal is registered in the bi-directional server. After that, when the user turns on the terminal or hears signal sound for call, the terminal is automatically connected to the server, and then, provided with the bi-directional ad service.
Besides the step of registering the user's wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal in the server beforehand to be automatically connected (Step S41), the process for the bi-directional service is the same as when the user directly connects to the server as shown in Fig. 3. While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention. As described above, according to the present invention, the user can recognize advertisements more easily and in an active manner when the user inputs ad keyword of bi-directional advertisement, which is provided through terminals (i.e., general phones, cellular phones, PCSs, WAP terminals, PDAs and IMT-2000 terminals) connected to wire, wireless or mobile communication network, as audio signal. Furthermore, the advertiser can check whether or not the user recognizes advertisements surely, thereby providing excellent effectiveness of advertising.

Claims

What is claimed is:
1. A system for bi-directional advertisement comprising: wire, wireless and mobile terminals connected to wire, wireless and mobile communication networks respectively; and a server providing bi-directional advertisements to the terminals.
2. The system for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 1, wherein
the server includes: a wire communication network connecting unit connected to the wire communication network for providing bi-directional advertisements from the server to a wire communication terminal; a wireless communication network connecting unit connected to the wireless communication network for providing bi-directional advertisements from the server to a wireless communication terminal; a mobile communication network connecting unit connected to the mobile communication network for providing bi-directional advertisements from the server to a mobile communication terminal; a voice recognition unit for recognizing audio signal of ad keyword, which is input by a user through the wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal and transmitted through the wire, wireless or mobile communication network connecting unit; a database storing ad information provided through the wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal; and an arithmetic unit for comparatively operating audio signal recognized by the voice recognition unit with voice parameter stored in the database.
3. The system for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 2, wherein the wireless and mobile communication terminals are PCSs, cellular phones, WAP terminals, PDAs and IMT-2000 terminals.

The system for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 2, wherein the database includes: a user information database storing the user's personal information; a voice parameter database having voice parameter exercised in an off-line state inside for recognizing ad keyword input by the user; a cyber money database setting data for providing benefits of free call by payment of cyber money, reduction of charge of information utilization, supply of electronic cash and provision of giveaway; and an ad database storing advertisements provided by an advertiser, the ad database setting data for extracting advertisements when the user's data terminal device is connected to an Internet.

A method for bi-directional advertisement, the method comprising the steps of: connecting to a server through a terminal connected to wire or wireless public switched telephone network (PSTN) or a mobile communication network; authorizing use of a bi-directional ad site from the server when a user inputs the user's personal information; temporarily providing bi-directional advertisements to the user, who directly connects to the server, if the user does not want to be authorized; extracting advertisement from an ad database and outputting to the user's telephone if authorized; transmitting ad keyword to the server when the user, who heard the output advertisement, inputs the ad keyword in a voice type; recognizing the transmitted ad keyword; comparatively operating the recognized ad keyword with voice parameter extracted from a voice parameter database; notifying the comparatively operated result to the user's terminal; and providing the user with benefits according to the comparatively operated result.
6. The method for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 5, wherein the step of providing the user with benefits is to provide the user with benefits of provision of cyber money, free call or reduction of charge of information utilization according to the success number of the voice recognition that the ad keyword input by the user and the voice parameter being in the voice parameter database are identical.
7. The method for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 5, wherein the step of connecting to the server through the wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal is that the user's terminal is connected by the user calling to the server or is automatically connected by registering the user's terminal in the server.
8. The method for bi-directional advertisement as claimed in claim 6, wherein in case that the user uses a free call service through the wire, wireless or mobile communication terminal, the system for bi-directional advertisement provides bi-directional advertisements at the early stage of call to make the free call possible, and extends the free call if the advertisement keyword input by the user during call and the voice parameter stored in the parameter database are comparatively operated and identical.
