Abstract

An electronic book home networking system provides for the in-home sharing of electronic book content between electronic book system components without the need for specialized networks. This allows for electronic content stored in one location to be shared by multiple users, allows electronic book readers to access viewable embedded content within digital appliances in the home, and allows for the shared use of communication paths outside the home to enable electronic book ordering and reception by the in home electronic book system components.
