Abstract

The objective of the invention is to offer the general public an optional method of carrying a cell phone. This invention also will greatly reduce the possibilities of loss, breakage and defacement of the phone. It also will allow one to comfortably carry a cell phone when one's clothing has no pockets, belt or belt line to clip a phone to, such as dresses and bathing suits. It also offers convenience for the usage of the new hands free speaker phones. The safety breakaway lanyard is designed for use around moving or rotating machinery, Or in any situation where injury or death may occur if the cell phone or lanyard should accidentally get caught.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The field of endeavor to which this invention pertains is the cell phone accessory feild

With the current method of carrying a cell phone that is clipped on the belt or waist line, the phone often gets knocked off and lost or broken, pressed into the hip, or simply cannot be worn on certain clothing. With the cell phone lanyard and case, worn around the neck these problems are eliminated.

BREIF SUMMARY OF INVENTION

The object of the invention is to resolve the problems and inconveniences of carrying a cell phone on your hip, as previously stated. And as an alternative method of portability in certain situations which greatly reduces the possibility of loosing a cell phone.

DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 1A Shows the cell phone lanyard, which goes around the neck. 1B shows the adjustment buckle to adjust the length. 1C shows the breakaway safety feature, which will be made of a thin rubber or plastic, which will be designed to pull apart when a reasonable amount of pull force is applied, thus preventing accidents should the phone or lanyard get caught or hung. 1D shows the spring clip, which attaches to the top mounted ring on the cell phone case.

DESCRIPTION

To use the invention, you simply put your cell phone in the properly designed lanyard case, put the lanyard around your neck and clip the lanyard to the case. Current cell phone cases only allow one to clip the phone to your belt, or your clothing belt line.
The Cell phone lanyard and case will eliminate many of the problems that currently exist with conventional methods of carrying a cell phone. Phone cases that are clipped to the belt are often knocked off and sometimes the phone is broken or lost. This invention is designed to eliminate these problems, as well as increase the convenience of carrying a cell phone.
With the new speaker phone technology, the Cell phone lanyard and case will allow the user to do virtually anything with two hands, and with the phone hanging around the neck, be able to still talk on the phone. It can also be comfortably worn with garments without pockets, like bathing suits and dresses.

Claims

1. The cell phone lanyard, and safety lanyard with a break away safety feature, both with an adjustment buckle to adjust lanyard lenth.

2. The newly designed cell phone case, with a top mounted clip ring, and no belt clipping feature on the back side.

3. The method of use, which is, clipping the appropriate lanyard to the top mounted clip ring on the case, putting the cell phone into the case, putting the lanyard around the neck, and adjusting the lanyard with the adjustment buckle to the desired height. Thus producing a new cell phone carrying position.

4. The method of use in which one can carry a cell phone in speaker phone mode, while conducting a ledgible, hands free conversation.

5. The method of preventing a cell phone from being accidentally lost, damaged, or defaced, when the invention is used as instructed.

6. The improvements of wearing and carrying a cell phone in such manner, providing easier access and convenience.
