and powder puff and also means for carrying rouge, lipsticks and eye-brow pencils.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device of this character which is simple and durable in construction, reliable and efiicient in operation and one which can be manufactured and placed upon the market at a minimum cost.
The invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a view of the case in closed position.
Fig. 2 is a view of the case in open position.
Fig. 3 is a section on line 33 of Fig. 1.
As shown in these views the, device comprises a case 1 preferably made of leather and consisting of flaps 2 and 3 connected together at one part to form a hinge. One of the flaps carry a strip 4 carrying one member of a snap button the other part of which is carried by the other flap. In this manner the two flaps may be held in closed position. One flap has secured to its inner face a mirror 5 while the inner face of the other flap is covered with suitable material to form a powder puff 6. One edge of the puff is left free from the flap so as to leave a space for powder and a snap button 7 holds this edge of the putt to the flap. An inner flap 8 is secured to the hinge strip of the outer flaps and this inner flap is made with a number of pockets 9 therein to receive a lip stick and eye-brow pencil and with a circular opening 10 for receiving a small receptacle 11 for containing rouge and a rouge pufi' 12.
When the pufi 12 is in position it will fill said opening and thus prevent the rouge from spilling. It will thus be seen that a neat and attractive device is secured for carrying the necessary toilet'articles in a convenient and accessible manner.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may make such changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is 1. A vanity case comprising a pair of flaps hinged together, means for securing the flaps in closed position, a mirror secured to one flap, a powder puff secured to the other flap and an inner flap hinged to the other flaps and having pockets therein for receiving toilet articles.
2. A vanity case comprising a pair of flaps hinged together, means for securing the flaps in closed position a mirror carried by one flap, a powder pufi carried by the other flap and forming with said other flap a powder pocket, means for closing said pocket, an
inner flap secured to the connecting means of the other fia s and having pockets therein for receiving ip and eye brow pencils a rouge receptacle carried by said inner iiap and a putt for said receptacle.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature.
DESS IRELAND STEALEY.
