Claims (8)

  1. Instrument électrochirurgical (20), possédant un effecteur d'extrémité (45) apte à recevoir de l'énergie radiofréquence bipolaire, ledit effecteur d'extrémité comprenant :
    a) une première électrode polaire (60) ;
    b) une deuxième électrode polaire (56) ; et
    c) un revêtement diélectrique (75) déposé sur ladite deuxième électrode polaire ;
    caractérisé en ce qui :
    ladite deuxième électrode polaire (56) contient au moins une cavité (58) de mise en forme d'agrafe, et
    ladite au moins une cavité (58) de mise en forme d'agrafe est dépourvue de revêtement diélectrique (75) et procure au moins un canal ouvert à travers le revêtement diélectrique permettant le passage de l'énergie radiofréquence entre lesdites première et deuxième électrodes polaires.
  2. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 1, lequel revêtement diélectrique contient au moins un revêtement choisi parmi le groupe constitué par : le polytétrafluoroéthylène, au moins un parmi une série de polymères à base de paraxylène, le dioxyde de titane et une résine époxyde.
  3. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 2, lequel au moins un canal est ménagé par élimination sélective dudit revêtement diélectrique de ladite deuxième électrode polaire au moyen d'un processus comprenant au moins un des traitements suivantes :
    a) décapage au jet de sable,
    b) décapage au jet d'eau à haute pression,
    c) meulage, ou
    d) gravure au laser.
  4. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 2, lequel passage diélectrique est ménagé par masquage sélectif de zones de ladite deuxième électrode polaire afin d'empêcher les revêtements diélectriques d'y adhérer.
  5. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 1, comportant au moins une agrafe (53) susceptible d'être mise en forme contre une desdites première et deuxième électrodes polaires.
  6. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 5, laquelle agrafe possède un revêtement diélectrique.
  7. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 1, lequel revêtement diélectrique présente au moins une des caractéristiques suivantes :
    a) une épaisseur généralement constante, ou
    b) une épaisseur variable.
  8. Instrument électrochirurgical selon la revendication 1, comportant en outre une lame (66) mobile à travers l'effecteur d'extrémité.
