Abstract

A fertilizer is obtained by crushing quicklime into intimate contact with poultry manure e.g. in a pan mill, and intermixing with the product bone meal, granular bone, or like material having a high phosphate content. A further grinding operation may follow the addition of the bone meal &c. A small quantity of water may be added in the first step to expedite the action of the lime.
