Abstract

A hair iron, wherein one end of a pair of openable hair holding arms formed by storing a heat source plate and hair heat plates coming into contact with the heat source plate and holding hair when closed in a space part shielded by a shielding member is openably connected to a shaft, the pair of hair holding arms are always maintained in the opening direction by the energization of a spring, and the hair heat plates are installed oppositely to each other. Tapered parts are formed at the space part side base parts of the heat plates, a packing fitted to a thus formed tapered space is firmly fitted to improve steam shielding properties at the space part. The temperature can be easily controlled by direct operation.
