Seven minutes. One critical ask. An answer before you leave the room. On 22 October, health and life science founders take the stage at DNB NXT during Oslo Innovation Week. Each founder shares their most critical challenge and a room of Superconnectors offer their most valuable conection, then makes the introduction on the spot. We are building this with Norway Health Tech, The Life Science Cluster and Oslo Cancer Cluster. Community Day came alive this week with nearly 300 attendees and 30+ clubs and volunteer organizations. About 46% of the attendees have lived in Oslo less than a year. Beyond the numbers, there were real connections. Attendees talked with local clubs and organizations, discovered how to get involved, and got to know other newcomers in Oslo. Oslo is a leader in building livable, low-carbon cities, and this week, three teams from Oslo&Co are making sure international investors, newcomers to Oslo and policy leaders see what that means in practice. In New York City, Head of Growth and Investment, Stephan Granhaug and senior advisor, Gudmund W. are meeting investors and funds during NYC Climate Week, positioning Oslo and Norwegian businesses on the global stage. Across four days they're part of Nordic Investor Night, Future Grids, Building Markets for Low-Carbon Infrastructure in Cities, and the Nordic Summit on Sustainable Cities. In Oslo, special advisor, Andrea Nylund and head of Visit & Talent, Peder Børresen are hosting Community Day at Sentralen, connecting newcomers with more than 30 clubs and communities across the city, from book clubs to running crews to LGBTQ+ organisations. Done with the support from Oslo kommune and The Directorate of Integration and Diversity (IMDi), as part of Norway Welcome Week 2026. And at Oslo Urban Week, Senior Advisor Communication & Branding, Kari Lundgren is moderating a panel this Thursday on architecture, power and the public realm, on how design shapes trust between institutions and citizens. This is just the beginning! This week, we kicked off the fall mentorship program for foreign professionals building their careers in Oslo. The 60 new mentors Oslo&Co recruited are now paired with 60 mentees through Sammen om en jobb's mentorship program. Mentors and mentees met face-to-face at the kickoff, where Matt C Smith shared his "Norwegian fairytale" from founder and investor to Olympian. Heartfelt thanks to all the mentors offering their time and guidance, the mentees for their ambition and commitment, and Sammen om en jobb for the invaluable collaboration. 5 universities gathered last week at Oslo&Co to set in motion a shared initiative to improve the transition of international master's students and PhDs into long term careers in Oslo. This fall, we are introducing Career Day to share where the opportunities are, and how to prepare and connect with professional networks. We are learning so much already through this new mulit-university collaboration and are looking forward to creating the program in coming weeks.
