Last night the Prosus Legal team won Innovation in Digital Solutions at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026, presented at the Natural History Museum in London. 🏆 Recognised for our AI-first legal operating system: 300 custom agents built on Toqan, covering everything from M&A deal summaries to KYC checks to IP management, built by lawyers, for lawyers. With over 650 submissions this year, double last year's number, being singled out in Digital Solutions means the judges saw this as a genuine shift in how legal work gets done at Prosus, not just a new tool. The agents are automating routine tasks, surfacing information faster, and fundamentally changing how the legal function works, driving innovation and freeing the team to focus on higher-value strategic work. Access to capital remains a major, persistent barrier for women-led ventures. In Africa, women-led startups made up 18% of equity deals in 2024, but took home just 7% of the funding. Male founders raised 13.2x more, on average. In India, female (co-)founded startups received only 8.8% of total startup funding in 2024. While in the US, women-led startups receive just 2% of total VC funding. Different geographies, but the same story. But the capital gap isn't a pipeline problem - it's a funding problem. That's what brought Prosus and Endeavor together during NYC Climate Week this week for a powerful panel with women founders and investors on what it actually takes to fund and scale women-led businesses. 40,000+ restaurants signed up for Toqan at iFood Move 2026 in São Paulo. 🇧🇷 Over two days, 12,700+ entrepreneurs, operators and partners filled São Paulo Expo for Latin America's largest event for the restaurant, retail and convenience sectors. More than 220 speakers, 100 hours of talks. And on that stage, iFood launched Toqan to its restaurant partners across Brazil. AI has mostly passed small businesses by. In Brazil, just 18% of independent restaurants use it, against 43% of large chains. Most have no engineers, no data team and no time. Toqan connects to the systems a restaurant already uses (POS, suppliers, staff scheduling, delivery apps) and runs the back office, so owners can focus on serving customers. Super excited to launch Toqan for Restaurants in Brazil with iFood at their iFood Move 2026 event in Sao Paulo this week. Toqan for Restaurants is our AI solution that helps restaurants to save time and sell more. By connecting to all of the systems that a restaurant already uses - POS, suppliers, staff scheduling and delivery apps - Toqan for Restaurants completely runs the back office of a restaurant, allowing them to focus on serving customers. Already widely available across Europe, we piloted Toqan for Restaurants with around 180 partners across more than 3,800 restaurants in Brazil.
