The question is no longer just what your digital asset strategy should be. It’s how you make it work in practice, across compliance, operations, technology and the business. We explored both sides of that challenge with Peter Engering of Compliance Champs. 🎧 Hear the conversation with Hugo Leijtens: https://lnkd.in/dfzZgcRX 👁️ Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dYZS-bsD 🖇️ Read the interview with Michiel Hoogenboom: https://lnkd.in/dRMEv8rw #DigitalAssets #Banking #Compliance #AML #Cense

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗡𝗙𝗧𝘀? Our client built significant wealth through NFT sales, Web3 projects and crypto payments. When he wanted to diversify into fiat across two banks, that history had to be made clear. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Switzerland’s revised Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and the new Federal Act on the Transparency of Legal Entities and the Identification of Beneficial Owners (LETA) will come into force. A key element of the reform is the establishment of a federal beneficial ownership register, providing competent authorities with improved access to reliable information on the individuals who ultimately own or control Swiss legal entities. For crypto firms, these developments reinforce expectations around beneficial ownership transparency, governance, customer due diligence, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring. Ahead of the entry into force, firms should review AML/CFT policies and procedures, update legal entity onboarding and customer due diligence processes, and assess whether existing controls adequately address complex ownership structures and higher-risk crypto-related activities. But the signal itself does not determine the customer’s risk. In the latest episode, Hugo Leijtens introduces the Cense D³ Framework: Detect. Decode. Decide. We discuss how financial institutions can: → Detect relevant digital asset exposure across customers and transactions. → Decode the wider context using wallet, exchange, banking and customer information. → Apply due diligence proportionally to the complexity and risk of each case. → Preserve transparent and explainable risk assessments when using AI. → Give the institution the evidence it needs to make its own informed decision. 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dNCpjzZq 👁️ Watch on Youtube: https://lnkd.in/diX6UMiw #Cense #DigitalAssets #CryptoCompliance #FinancialCrime #RiskManagement #AML

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝘁. Stablecoins, tokenised assets and instant settlement are pushing financial infrastructure towards 24/7 operation. But faster controls do not fix an outdated model. If compliance still happens after the fact, it is still after the fact. In our latest interview, Michiel Hoogenboom of Cense and Peter Engering of Compliance Champs discuss what this means for banks, their technology and the people responsible for compliance. 🖇️ Read the full interview: https://lnkd.in/dRMEv8rw #Compliance #CryptoAssets #DigitalAssets #Banking #Cense

Banks today offer customers access to a wide range of investment products: from stocks and ETFs to bonds and funds. Yet one class is still largely left behind: #DigitalAssets. That's understandable. Banks are built on trust, and protecting that trust is non-negotiable. But excluding digital assets altogether also means missing an opportunity: customers will look elsewhere, and banks risk losing relevance in an increasingly digital financial ecosystem. We believe there is a better way. Digital asset trading doesn't have to come at the expense of trust. With the right technology and safeguards, banks can offer secure, trusted access to this emerging asset class, creating value for both their customers and their business. That's why Cense, the newest addition to our portfolio through our corporate venturing arm G+D Ventures, is such a strong strategic fit. The compliance solution of CENSE is helping banks unlock digital asset trading in a trusted way – perfectly aligned with G+D's mission of bringing trust to the digital world while helping financial institutions become future-ready.
