We are currently actively selecting companies for the next stage of the programme - the Investment Readiness Lab, taking place on 11 October at the University of Latvia in Riga. The Investment Readiness Lab is designed for women-led startups and mixed founding teams with at least one woman co-founder that have already progressed beyond the idea stage and have something tangible to build on - a prototype, MVP, product, technology, science-based solution, early customers or an operating startup. Our priority areas include DeepTech, MedTech, HealthTech, BioTech, AgriTech, EdTech and other innovation-driven sectors, although strong companies from other areas are also very welcome to apply. The Investment Readiness Lab will bring together founders, mentors, investors and industry experts for a highly practical day of feedback, round-table discussions, investor-startup meetings and individual conversations focused on investment readiness. Back to school, back to building! 🚀 💜On September 15, our latest Female Founders’ Lunch took us straight from inspiration to execution! ✨It was an incredible afternoon filled with honest founder stories, vibrant networking, and hands-on building. Here’s a quick look at what went down: 💡 FOUNDERS’ STORY Liene Dobele , Founder of ConnyAI, walked us through her transition from running a localization business and graduating StartSchool to building an assistive AI startup. She shared deep insights on problem-solving with empathy, navigating the startup ecosystem, and how AI can provide practical, trusted support for neurodivergent individuals in their daily lives. 🛠️ LOVABLE WORKSHOP Kristiāna Biezuma , Lead of the Young Innovators’ Workshop, proved that you don’t need a background in software engineering to bring ideas to life. In a hands-on session, attendees learned how to turn rough concepts into working, clickable prototypes using plain language in Lovable - no coding or technical expertise required! 👀Participants walked away with real-talk AI insights, new connections within our vibrant founder community, and their very own MVPs created right on the spot. 🤝 Powered by Riga City Council and Startup House Riga .
