[go: up one dir, main page]

The demo contains the first two stages of the first world and a limited portion of the metaprogression. Development of this game is on-going, so please leave feedback!

You Are Circle. You are round, and round is good. You are equipped with upgradable active & passive abilities. Flow through the procedurally generated maze-like worlds, and defeat pointy evil foes to collect experience, which is also round. Gather enough and you get to choose between powerful level ups for your abilities.

You can execute devastating combos with your active abilities. For example, use Crash to quickly move into a group of enemies and stun them, while simultaneously using Pull to draw them close enough to finally finish them off with the huge area-of-effect damage of Slam.

Unlock new mechanics, abilities and upgrades by reaching special milestones. Gather coins from defeated foes to permanently upgrade yourself between runs to become even stronger.

started playing maybe two days ago? just forgot to comment

this game is surprisingly fun! the name is a bit silly imho but the gameplay more than makes up for it. i’ve been suggesting it to some of my friends and they seem to enjoy it too. keep up the good work! can’t wait for this to become a full game! :)

Hi, I played your game and made a video about it. Just wanted to let you know.

Woa, that's pretty cool, left you a like and a subscribe.

I noticed the game ran a lot slower than it should. Maybe at 60% speed, from eyeballing how fast the power burst timers were ticking down. This is probably due to me not optimizing it yet. Care to reveal what specs you were playing on?

Thank you.  I googled it and "specs" is a term for multiple traits of a computer. What exactly do you want me to check?

CPU and graphics card should give me a good idea! Thanks

I opened the task manager. My CPU's base speed is 2,30 GHz and my graphics car is AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics.

Man, this whole demo has been pretty good. Im a fan of the difficulty and learning curve. The enemies are challenging but add to the excitement this brings. (The rifle and seeker combination has been pretty unforgiving)

Thanks for the kind words!

Great roguelite! I appreciate that this is clearly influenced by VS but managed to change the actual game structure as to not feel like a VS game, and the simplistic neo vector graphics and snappy gameplay is the final bit that can lock you into this game's loop.

Thank you! What gave the VS influence away?

The Level up > choose upgrade from 3 thing, its pretty trademark
something i also didnt compliment but have now gotten to appreciate is the enemy design, all of them have gimmicks that push you back, get you to lay your focus somewhere else, influence weapon choices, and some even flank.
If there's gonna be any build in the near future, can you please include an endless toggle?

(+1)

What do you mean by endless toggle?

No level limit!

I love the old shooter maze concept, great game!

As someone pointed out, some weapons don't seem to be very useful. Grenade launcher is kinda weak. If it at least had a decent AOE. But I wasn't able to test it much because I lost too soon haha

Thank you, glad you like it!

Launcher is a tough starting choice for sure, but it scales nicely especially once the AoE gets a lot bigger.  It's great against the glitch fragments enemies you see later. Also, it has a crazy synergy with the singularity ability you can unlock later, e.g. see the gif here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3578190/view/528735466048981363?l=englis...

A couple thoughts after playing more runs... I think I did 14 or 15 so far.

The difficulty ramp from level 1 to level 2 seems steep.

I wan't to be able to zoom out.

Grav gun / Rifle is by far my preferred combo, I don't see how anything else could compare (maybe later in game the others shine?)

Happy to elaborate on these thoughts if you'd like.

Sure, feedback is always welcome. You can post it here or come to the discord or use the steam forums.

Looked around and didn't find a discord link, mind dropping me one here or pointing it out for me?

You have to click on "More Information" and then on the last line there's links to Steam and Discord.

I landed here. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its on the other end.

Oops, sorry. Seemed to work when I tested it, but maybe because I'm already logged into the server. I replaced the link with one to the server instead of the channel. Does that work?

Personally don’t like the rifle (not really a fault of the rifle, of course, I just don’t like it, especially when compared to the other choices available)

The Gravigun is just generally fun. The homing isn’t too sharp, but it’s powerful enough to make it actually perform well at range whereas the rifle’s accuracy (at early levels, at least) makes it useful at a distance and uh… not so much at range. At that point I might as well use the shotgun, fan, dash, etc.

The best combo I’ve found, however, is Gravigun + Seeker/Dash. Their playstyles are pretty different from one another but they synergize the best imho. Launcher is a good alternative to Seeker if you find its arming time too slow.

Cool demo, gonna have to come back and give it another go later. Any chance at a Mac version?

Thanks :-) I occasionally run this on a mac for development, so... maybe? I'm not using an engine, so it's not super trivial.

Runs pretty nicely in my browser anyhow. Controller support would be rad. It's works well as is, but for myself I find that with mouse style pointing (as opposed to twin stick, for example) I sometimes make critical mistakes where I think the mouse is in one spot and it's in another, and then I'm firing the wrong direction for a moment as I fumble to fix it. I played a few more runs last night, this is the kind of thing I'll definitely buy and play through the full game, very nice. Wishlisting now. :)

Thanks for the praise! It means a lot. So I guess controller support did not work for you then? It works for me on chrome or edge, but not on firefox. But I couldn't get my controller to work on anything in firefox, so I thought that just does not work.

I’ll test again later… I have many controllers hooked up to my computer regularly for testing (in progress making a local multiplayer battle game myself) and the only one I had w me when I came across your game was my nock off brand one, could be related? I’ll test them all in the browser and on windows over the weekend (if I have time) and let you know.

Apparently I was just being dumb before, the controllers I have tested this evening all work. Playing in Chrome.
