Wouldn't it be better to use contants instead of variables? Perhaps an
@-rule:
@constants {
%mycolour%: #ffc;
%myothercolor%: #cce;
%mylength: 2em;
}
p {
color: %mycolor%;
margin-top: %my-length%;
}
etc.
