The book tackles many topics and issues that are of relevance in the post-pandemic world. Some of these issues are the effects of the pandemic on countries' budgets, tax systems, financial and economic policies, and management, in addition, the evaluation of the pandemic in terms of migration and refugees, the historic comparison of its effects with other pandemics, the social media reflections of the pandemic and the global governance discussions. The book also considers the effects of pandemic on the use of digital currencies and the effects of digitalization of employment and robot employment.

About the editors

Dr. Bernur Acikgoz graduated from Ankara Finance Vocational High School in 1995, DEU Finance Department in 1999, DEU Financial Law (master) in 2001, and DEU Finance Department (Ph.D.) in 2006. She worked at King\'s College London, United Kingdom in 2000 and Harvard University, United States in 2006 as a visiting professor. In 2009-2010 she completed her post-doctorate degree in economics from Neuchatel University in Switzerland. She taught at Bern University in Switzerland during 2010-2011. In 2014 and 2015 she was a guest lecturer in France with LAMETA scholarship, in USA with Missouri University scholarship and in England with TUBITAK scholarship. Between 1996-2017 she worked at the Ministry of Finance and Celal Bayar University. Professor Açıkgöz has books, articles, and papers on foreign direct investments, public economics, public debts, macroeconomics, economic growth, panel econometrics, experimental economics, and game theory. She is currently working at the Department ofPublic Finance at Izmir Katip Celebi University. In addition, she teaches at the Department of International Trade and Finance at Izmir University of Economics and at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Poznan University of Life Sciences, Poland.


Professor Dr. İbrahim Attila ACAR graduated from Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dokuz Eylül University in 1990. He received his master's degree in Public Finance from Dokuz Eylül University. He was awarded his PhD degree from Dokuz Eylul University Department of Public Finance.

Professor Dr. İbrahim Attila ACAR has books, articles and papers on public strategic management, public financial management and control law (Law No: 5018), health and education economy, refugees crisis, auditing, financial management and budgeting. He was a member of the Specialization Commission in the Development Plans of 9-10 and 11 and involved in quality, effectiveness, university rankings, European University Association higher education assessment and rating studies in higher education.

He worked as a panelist and independent evaluator of TÜBİTAK and Development Agencies. He participated in programs in written and visual media. He prepared and presented the Economic Agenda program at TRT for many years. The analyzes are located in its own website, acarhoca.com.

He worked at Süleyman Demirel University for 10 years. He is currently working at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Izmir Katip Celebi University. He was the Vice Rector and the founding dean at the same university.
