Die Qualität von Informationssystemen muß plan-, steuer- und kontrollierbarer Bestandteil des Gestaltungsprozesses sein. Dies ist die Aufgabe des Qualitätsmanagements. Seine Aufgaben umfassen nicht nur die operativen Tätigkeiten einer technisch orientierten Qualitätssicherung, sondern darüber hinaus insbesondere auch strategische Aspekte. Michael Bächle stellt einen Ansatz vor, der den Gedanken des Total Quality Managements im Rahmen des Qualitätsmanagements von Softwaresystemen in das Software Engineering integriert. Der Autor entwickelt ein entsprechendes Konzept im Rahmen von DIN ISO 900x und Total Quality Management für die Softwareentwicklung von Informationssystemen.
