What used to be a disposal issue now supports energy use and soil health on site. We’ve implemented the Biodigester Project at our Santo André facility, converting organic waste into renewable biogas and liquid biofertilizer through a continuous, closed-loop system. Designed for practicality, the solution runs without electricity, is installed above ground, and includes specific controls on greenhouse gas emissions. It helps reduce reliance on conventional gas and synthetic fertilisers, while encouraging a more circular use of resources in daily operations. The initiative is part of Prometeon’s ESG roadmap and aligns with key UN Sustainable Development Goals, from clean energy to responsible consumption and climate action.
