IPVM’s Reporting: Original, Often Exclusive Coverage

Each month, IPVM publishes 50+ full news reports, typically ~1,000 words each. These come directly from IPVM’s reporting team, which investigates and verifies information that is generally unavailable in press releases, vendor statements, or mainstream media coverage.

Coverage includes:

  • Exclusive reporting on executive departures, layoffs, restructurings, and other internal changes

  • Significant product launches and technology shifts

  • Government actions affecting surveillance and public safety technologies

  • Notable cybersecurity events

  • Disputes, controversies, and competitive claims

  • Issues or problems vendors may not publicize

  • Developments with operational or strategic implications

Most information is reported only here. It reflects the newsroom's ongoing effort to uncover developments the industry needs to know, regardless of whether they are publicly promoted.

Subscribers receive full access to all News reports published within the past 30 days.

News Briefs: Curated, Condensed Coverage Across the Industry

IPVM also publishes 500+ news briefs per month, each ~200 words. These briefs are created through continuous editorial monitoring of sources across the internet and the industry.

The editorial team actively reviews:

  • Manufacturer announcements

  • Regulatory and government filings

  • Social media posts

  • Webinars, conferences, and long-form videos

  • Technical documents

  • International and regional news

  • Press releases

  • Niche and sector-specific publications

Rather than reposting links, editors extract the key points and highlight the specific information that matters. This might involve identifying a critical statement in an hour-long webinar, summarizing material from a lengthy document, or surfacing a trend that has not been broadly noticed.

This saves subscribers the time and effort of monitoring dozens of sources that would be infeasible for them to do systematically.

30-Day Access Window

News reports and briefs remain fully accessible for 30 days after publication. After 30 days, articles move into IPVM’s long-term Research Archive, which is available exclusively through the IPVM Research plan.
