The old internet hasn't completely died away. It's just a matter of looking in the right places! This website will serve as my personal page, but will also provide some information on how to relive the experience of the early 2000s internet.
NOTE: This website is best viewed on PC (even though I've put effort to make it responsive as well)!
UPDATE [10.1.2026.]:
This is my first post of 2026! And I have a bunch of new stuff to report! This will be a bit of a longer post, so please bear with me...
Unfortunately, I have both good and bad news...
I'll start with the good ones:
- January 3rd marked a 1 year anniversary of the iSmile website! I wish I acknowledged it earlier, but I did do something special for it, which is in the next bullet point:
- I have been removing AI stuff from my website! I've decided that this should be no place for it... For a 1 year anniversary you witness the all new iSmile website with actual artwork (including the background), instead of the artless slop I had before!
- The highlight of this update: I made a brand new page: ASCII World! My attempt to create a page entirely from ASCII (an idea I've had for a while...). In there, you can see ASCII animations, play ASCII games, see my YWOT, and an ASCII chat, among other things...
- Since Chattable was down, I added a new #alt-chat channel for my Discord page.
- Chattable is back after a while (at least somewhat)! That's great news! Especially since half of my site is powered by it, so finally you can see it in its full glory!
Ok so let's get to the bad news:
- Chattable is only partially back, as it seems to be a discontinuation of it, at least for now... Users cannot create new accounts, only the existing ones can use it, and, since it got downgraded to a free plan of Firebase, the chats will work until the daily free tier Firebase resources are expended for that day, which may not happen at all on some less-busy days, but on days with higher traffic (or if the attacks start again) - the chat will stop working for the rest of the day. All thanks to a stupid low-life kid who has nothing better to do with his life but to attack a free tool which we all benefited from. We can thank him for this situation...
- More news which may be bad or good, but I've decided to take a break from working on, and visiting my site for 2 months this year (February and March). I'll be here until the end of January, most likely, and then I'll be coming back at the start of April.
