This week RTÉ is proudly marking International Week of Deaf People and ISL Awareness Week through a number of events and initiatives. Senan Dunne from the Irish Deaf Society and RTÉ's ISL News and ISL Weather team provided Deaf Awareness Training for RTÉ staff. Through lip-reading and and ISL challenges, the workshop provided valuable insights into the communication barriers Deaf people can face and highlighted practical ways to create a more accessible and inclusive workplace. #IWDP2026
