We were pleased to join Anna Daly on Today FM to continue the conversation about the work of our charity partner, The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation. Following our recent colleague event, “Jack & Jill: Supporting Families Beyond Our Own”, Sarah Kerrigan spoke with Anna about Jack & Jill’s Power Hour campaign and the practical difference its in-home nursing care and respite support makes for families across Ireland. This week, we look forward to bringing colleagues together across our three office locations for a fundraising event in support of our staff charity partners, including Jack & Jill.

The people who keep a GAA club going give a great deal of themselves. Coaching, organising, making sure everyone feels welcome. It is good to be able to give something back to them. We recently launched Healthy Habits through Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs, and the four-week programme is now under way. It offers free, practical support with healthy eating, mental fitness and physical activity, for volunteers and the wider community. I like the emphasis on small changes that people can fit into their lives. Finding time for a walk, making a little more room for your own wellbeing, or getting started with someone from the club can make the next step feel much more manageable. Healthy Clubs is an important part of what Irish Life stands for. Our support for health and wellbeing reaches into the places where people already come together, with local volunteers at the heart of it. My thanks to our colleagues, our partners in the GAA and everyone helping to bring Healthy Habits to their community. Irish Life was delighted to welcome our staff charity partner The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation for a special panel event last week. Hosted by Oisin O'Shaughnessy, our Family Life Employee Resource Group and Society team brought colleagues together, in person and online, to hear directly from Deirdre Walsh, CEO of Jack & Jill; David and Anna Lawlor, Pippa’s parents; and Sinead Moran, Head of Nursing at Jack & Jill.  The discussion gave colleagues a powerful insight into the difference in-home nursing care and respite support can make for children and their families, and the vital role Jack & Jill plays for families across Ireland.  As our three-year charity partner, we are proud to work alongside Jack & Jill and support their important work through colleague fundraising, engagement and awareness.
