Heavy Heart Strong Soul
HHSS comes from something personal — understanding that life can be heavy.
We all go through things that can knock us down. Struggles, setbacks, pressure, loss and battles that other people may never see.
And sometimes, we don't talk about them.
That's where Built From Broken comes from.
It's about taking what you've been through and finding the strength to keep moving forward. It's about understanding that being broken doesn't mean you're finished.
You can have a heavy heart and still have a strong soul.
HHSS isn't just about the clothes. It's about the message behind them.
Explore HHSS men's mental health clothing and the meaning behind Heavy Heart Strong Soul.
We want every HHSS purchase to have a purpose.
Fixed amounts from paid hoodies, tees, caps and stickers are set aside for Man Down UK's free peer-support groups for men.

But there's another part of HHSS that matters just as much.
By wearing HHSS, you're showing other men that you've been there too.
You've faced your own battles. You've had difficult days. You've carried things that other people may never have known about.
And by wearing the brand, you're helping carry a message to men who haven't spoken up yet:
You're not alone.
It's okay to talk.
There is help.
Maybe someone sees Built From Broken on your hoodie or T-shirt and recognises something in it.
Maybe it starts a conversation.
Maybe it gives someone the courage to speak.
If HHSS helps one person feel less alone, start a conversation or reach out for support, then we're doing what we set out to do.
That's what we want HHSS to stand for.
Wear your story.
Start the conversation.
Show someone they're not alone.

Heavy Heart Strong Soul.
Built from broken.
I didn't start HHSS because the world needed another clothing brand. I started it because I know what it's like to carry battles nobody else can see.
HHSS is about turning those struggles into strength, creating conversations and reminding people they're not alone.
Every piece carries a message. Every conversation matters.
— Founder, HHSS

ONE YEAR.
In England and Wales alone, 4,599 male suicide deaths were registered in 2024.
That's more than 12 men every single day. Far too many

What is a mental health hoodie — and why does it matter?
A mental health hoodie is more than heavyweight fleece. It's a quiet statement, a conversation starter, and — in our case — a £5 donation to Man Down UK with every hoodie sold.

A suicide prevention hoodie that actually does something
Most awareness clothing asks you to wear a ribbon. We'd rather fund the people doing the work — £5 from every HHSS hoodie is donated to Man Down UK, a non-profit Community Interest Company providing free peer-led men's mental-health support groups.
