Death is not elimination. It is recruitment.

For a decade, battle royale has sold one fantasy: be the last one standing. It works by subtraction — 99 players lose so one can win, and most of them are watching from a lobby before the match is half over. In team deathmatch games, death is only a negative.

GREENIES flips that on its head, making fights personal, and doubly meaningful. Kill someone and they respawn behind you, in your army, under your command (usually.) Every kill not only removes a rival — it builds your force. Fifty lone soldiers collapse, kill by kill, into a few great armies grinding toward one final war, and nobody stops playing to get there.

That change unlocks drama no other shooter can touch: rise from private to General, then watch a rival turn your old commander's guns on you. Get wiped early and claw back up through the ranks of the army that conquered you. Every match is a story you lived, not a leaderboard you fell off of.

This isn't another battle royale or deathmatch FPS. It's the next thing.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Kills heal you completely. Winning a fight refills your health, so pushing is usually better than hiding. Multi-kill streaks are survivable on purpose.

There is no match clock. The war ends only when one army holds everyone. Usually 10–15 minutes.

Unlimited ammo, no weapon pickups. All your power comes from position, rank and intel — not from finding better gear.

4 grenades for the WHOLE match. They carry through death and conscription. Spend them well.

When you're conscripted you respawn behind your new army's lines, so you'll have a little jog back in.

During a duel it's one weapon plus melee — whatever you were already holding.

── CONTROLS ──

WASD move · Shift sprint · C crouch/slide · 1-6 weapons · R reload · V melee

G grenade · RMB zoom · M tac-map · N minimap · Q/scroll-click ping · Tab scoreboard

F fullscreen · Esc settings

WEAPONS:

1  Assault Rifle — reliable all-rounder

2  Pump Shotgun  — king up close, useless past ~12m

3  Sniper Rifle — headshots kill instantly, slow to re-chamber

4  Rocket Launcher  — direct hits kill, big splash, don't fire it at your feet

5   Pistol — probably the best for mid-range 1v1 duels

6  M1 Rifle — a very usable alternative to the AR

IF IT RUNS SLOW:

Esc → Graphics: low, and Cinematic FX: off. It's a browser game on whatever machine you've got. Fullscreen (F) with fewer things on screen helps too.

IF IT'S TOO HARD OR TOO EASY:

Esc → Bot skill slider. Turn it down to learn the loop, turn it up when you want a fight.

` / ~ opens the dev tuner - adjust miscellaneous settings and let me know if you find an improvement.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Minutes 0–2 — Chaos. Fifty armies of one. Every kill recruits. Frantic, funny, lethal.

Minutes 2–8 — Warlords. Platoons form. Generals emerge. The map lights up with shared intel. From fifty armies to 5.

The Ceasefire. A klaxon sounds and the whole battlefield falls silent and ghostly. You call out your commanding officer one-on-one in front of both armies — win, and their platoon is yours.

Minutes 8–14 — The War. Two or three great armies maneuver across the map. A General falls, and their old army scrambles under a hastily-promoted successor.

The End. One army stands. The scoreboard tells your whole campaign: every army you served, every rank you took.

THIS PROJECT:

Is a prototype. One map, you plus 49 AI soldiers, blockout art, placeholder sound. No install — it runs from this page.

It's here to prove one thing: that the CONSCRIPTION mechanic generates the chaos-to-empire arc, tough decisions, and fun stories every match.

MULTIPLAYER, voice command, real armies of real people — that's the plan, and that's what needs funding. This is (hopefully) the first piece of proof that it's worth funding.

Tell me in the comments: Would you and the homies play this and talk smack when you become each other's general?

DEVELOPER NOTE:

I'm not a programmer, I'm a first-time game developer. I'm not a visual artist. I'm a writer, and that's why this concept excites me. I didn't set out to build another shooter. I set out to build a new kind of war game - one that results in great stories and legendary moments. The duel to take command from your CO. The Private who rises to become General and leads a small army to defeat one three times its size. The mechanic produces the stories. The shooting is just how you turn the pages.

I have a lot of ideas. I think this might be the best one I've ever had — and for the first time I could prove it instead of describing it.

Play it. Tell me what's wrong with it. I read everything. Most useful feedback: did you understand what happened the first time you were conscripted? And did you want to keep playing after it?

PRO CHALLENGES: Beat the dev top score of 46,469.
Play on hard mode and/or increase bot skill to 200%, and try to finish as General.
