API transfer project always returns 400, namespace is invalid

When using the API to transfer a project to a group, the result is always a 400 Bad Request, with the message {:namespace=>["is invalid"]}

I have tried moving it to different groups, all result in the same error.

Transferring the project from the project settings works without problems.
