Who is behind the org?
Hi there! Thank you for dropping by.
I am Rui (@rpbaltazar) and I have been working on story_branch gem for nearly 10 years. It has started as a script in a past company and from there I've developed the idea further and now support 4 different trackers.
Along with this journey, I've developed a few smaller gems that in my opinion provide a value of their own. I believe in building useful CLI tools to improve the day to day life of the developers and optimize their daily processes.
Why supporting?
As of right now, it's not part of my plans to depend entirely on OSS as my daily job. Developing and maintaining this gemsuite is something I do out of pleasure and pride. And I use it daily on my job as well as side projects. So why asking for support? I see it as a form of saying "thank you for making something useful for me". If you feel that money is not the way but still would like to say thank you, feel free to open an issue or dropping me an email.
What to expect?
There are a few more ideas in the pot that I plan to roll out soon. Apart from keep maintaining story_branch and it's dependencies, I plan to keep exploring ideas that touch the day to day life of developers.
The other thing that you can expect is that I plan to pay it forward. Meaning that for every 30$ I will pass along 3$ to the gems I depend the most on as my way of saying "thank you for making something useful for me".
