Hello! My name is Ian Sanders, and I'm a software developer and mechanical engineer based in Florida. I love contributing to open source software (both as a project owner and as a contributor) and helping to make the world a better place. I have experience in a wide range of technologies including TypeScript, Scala, Python, and SolidWorks.
My favorite project I currently manage on GitHub is OpenMCR. It's a free and open source optical mark reading tool (that's a fancy term for software that can read multiple choice exam sheets) built with Python and OpenCV. I love it because it provides and open and free alternative to tools that can be prohibitively expensive for many educators. I'd really like to spend more time on it, cleaning up the code and adding new features, but I need your sponsorship to be able to do so!
If you have any cool project ideas, any questions about my work, or you just want to chat, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'm very flexible with the sponsorship tiers too, so please feel free to contact me about that as well. There's contact info on my main GitHub profile page.
