Extracted from the reliability audit snippet: recovery from corruption, unchecked deserialization, incomplete WAL, migration/file-format robustness.

Programmatic test scope

Add fuzz targets for WAL and .graph file-format deserialization paths.

Targets to cover

  • WAL header and entry decoding.
  • File header decoding and checksum validation.
  • Packed fact page decoding.
  • B+tree page/node decoding.
  • Legacy migration entry points where practical.

Acceptance criteria

  • Fuzzing never panics on arbitrary bytes.
  • Corrupt inputs return structured errors or safe empty recovery behavior as appropriate.
  • Add seed corpus entries for truncated headers, bad checksums, oversized lengths, and malformed pages.
