Hello,
I've been going through the latest KC documentation and quick starts, and various discussions. It is unclear to me whether or not Keycloak can be used at all with a Java application that is deployed into an Apache Tomcat server. I cannot tell from the documentation if the deprecation of the "adapters" makes this simply impossible, or just that an authentication webapp can use other dependencies and still be able to handle Keycloak SAML assertions, etc. Is Tomcat as a server simply not workable anymore with Keycloak? It seems that not only were the Tomcat adapters deprecated, but so were the java servlet filters, without either of these, it would seem SAML with a java project in Tomcat just will not work with Keycloak 25+
I think from the documentation that are SAML adapters for Wildfly/Elytron and the JBOSS EAP servers ("SAML adapters are still supported with WildFly and JBoss EAP.")?
But can a Java application deployed to Tomcat still utilize and consume/interact with a Keycloak SAML IDP, assertions, tokens, etc.?
Thanks!
