We have an ASP.NET legacy application that uses Forms Authentication, ASP.NET Membership, and SQL Server for its authentication stack. We would like to use Keycloak to start migrating to OIDC, which (I think) would require us to write our own implementation of the UserStorage SPI to adapt our ASP.NET Membership user store to Keycloak's native data model(s).
First, are we on the right track? Are there other strategies we should look into?
Second, if we go down this path, is there an off-the-shelf implementation already? I wouldn't be surprised if someone has already solved this problem.
