Causing crash & reboot on Taurine Jailbreak #1249
Description
Environment:
- iPhone 12
- iOS 14.7.1
- Taurine 1.0.7-3
- Frida Server (on device): v17.1.15
- Frida Tools (on PC): v17.1.5
Actual Behavior
As soon as any Frida command is executed, Taurine crashes, the device reboots, and the jailbreak is lost. Re-jailbreaking and running Frida again produces the same result every time.
Tried Workarounds
- Downgrading Frida to v15.1.8 on Taurine v1.1.7 prevents the crash, but the injected script fails to work correctly.
- On an unc0ver-jailbroken device using the same script with the latest Frida build, everything works as expected.
In some forum someone said that Frida attempts to hook launchd, which isn’t permitted on Chimera/Odyssey/Taurine-based jailbreaks.
