Pangolin CLI as Site doesn't start metrics endpoint, but Newt - does #174

Describe the Bug
Hi team,
Pangolin Site doesn't start metrics endpoint at all:
# /usr/local/bin/pangolin version
0.20.0
# /usr/local/bin/pangolin up site -config-file /root/.config/pangolin/site.json -metrics -metrics-admin-addr=127.0.0.1:2112 -metrics-async-bytes -log-level=debug
# ss -lntp | grep 2112
#
While Newt - does:
# ./newt --version
Newt version 1.20.0
# ./newt -config-file /root/.config/pangolin/site.json -metrics -metrics-admin-addr=127.0.0.1:2112 -metrics-async-bytes
# ss -lntp | grep 2112
LISTEN 0 4096 127.0.0.1:2112 0.0.0.0:* users:(("newt",pid=745443,fd=7))
Pangolin Site debug logs shows no signs of error. Running strace (strace -f -tt -e trace=bind) confirms the same too - pangolin doesn't even try binding 2112:
# grep 2112 /tmp/newt /tmp/pangolin
/tmp/newt:746187 20:02:50.471143 bind(8, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(2112), sin_addr=inet_addr("127.0.0.1")}, 16) = 0
Same apply to Docker environment with env vars SITE_METRICS_PROMETHEUS_ENABLED and SITE_ADMIN_ADDR.
Environment
- OS Type & Version: Alpine 3.24.3 and Docker 29.9.2 with Nixos 26.05
- Pangolin Version: 1.26.0
- Gerbil Version: 1.6.0
- Traefik Version: 3.7.17
- Newt/Pangolin Cli Version: 1.20.0
To Reproduce
newt -metrics
pangolin up site -metrics
AI Disclosure
While troublesthing, I checked forsl/cli and fosrt/newt code with AI agent and it claimed fosrl/newt doesn't expose metrics functionality so fosrl/cli doesn't even invoke it (which is likely true):
The telemetry package is in internal/telemetry/ — Go-enforced internal, so fosrl/cli (a separate module) cannot import it.
Expected Behavior
Metrics endpoint starts service requests.
