Configuration

  • Keka version: 1.3.8 (5320)
  • macOS version: Sonoma 14.5

Describe the bug

Compressing large amounts of data happens successfully. Keka compressor stuck on verifying.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Enable "Verify Compression Integrity" and attempt compressing large amount of data (approx 1TB).

Expected behavior

Rapid verification and the ability to skip verification if required.

Hi @RSKothari,

It's normal for the verification to take a long time if it is so much data, especially if using the ZIP format. Other formats such as 7Z or ZSTD can be vastly quicker.

ability to skip verification if required.

This can be indeed a good feature to add.
