This API sucks. We should just return a structure with a result instead of this hack for overload resolution. We could just ignore the result at the call site if so desired.

But let's proceed with this hack for now.

    I’d like to take this. Plan: have deletePath and LocalStore::deleteStorePath return a small struct with bytesFreed instead of the out-param, and update the call sites.
