Magnus Jern 올림Why AI is terrible at the one thing you actually need it for? I tested something last week that bothered me. I asked Fable 5.1 to give me an interesting unsolved problem as significant as the Navier-Stokes equation. Something critical to humanity's future that we have not solved yet. It failed completely. The suggestions were generic. Surface level. Nothing that made me think "oh, that is actually worth solving." So I tried a different approach. I asked it to generate 100 potential problems and then create a process to identify which ones were actually interesting. This gave me a couple of interesting problems but still not "the one". My theory is that I would probably get closer if I generate 1,000 or 10,000 ideas Here is what that tells me: AI is phenomenal at executing known patterns. It can solve Navier-Stokes once someone else has figured out the approach. It can write code, summarise documents, draft emails, optimize existing processes. But asking it to do the creative, contextual, judgment-based work? The stuff that actually moves a business forward? That is where AI hits a wall tooday. And this matters way more than most people realize. Because a lot of how we want to use AI is exactly this: non-deterministic work (there are many (if not infinite) answers to the same problem. Coaching decisions. Strategic choices. Marketing campaign ideas. Product direction. The stuff that requires real world context, taste, and judgment. Many people and companies keep trying to use AI to answer questions that takes time, collaboration concentration to solve. But current AI cannot do this. The answer you get is average so whatever decision you make based on it will end up being average. The companies that are winning with AI right now are not the ones treating it as a decision maker. They are the ones using it to do the hard repetitive work so the humans can focus on the judgment calls. Later this week I will share how "the game of numbers" can work in terms of generating great ideas with brute force.

Magnus Jern 공유함It's official! After 1 year of development and customer testing I´m going all-in on p30 .ai together with Christian Merheim (a friend and former colleague from the Framfab/Hardvarubolaget days). I am also excited to share that Michael Donofrio (who I worked with at Golden Gekko/DMI in the US) has decided to join us as well. We have built a new type of powerful AI platform that goes beyond what ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini offer for teams. A solution that is a better fit for small and medium size companies, team centric, easier to use and affordable. P30 .ai enables teams to pick and choose between any AI model (incl locally hosted closed models in Europe and US), auto-compare results, build a memory based on use over time, connect to 1000s of tools, create agents without technical know-how and much more. As an example Tappwater deployed an agent (with no technical know how) that helped develop a new product from scratch and another one that has managed all product management meetings and tracking. Other customers are seeing teams accelerate AI adoption thanks to teams working together. This is the most fun I´ve ever had in my career and super excited to see where this journey takes us. As a bonus many old colleagues have already reached out to us to partner in helping businesses adopt and make the most of our human centric AI. Up and above! P.S. DM me for a free trial.

Magnus Jern 올림"We use ChatGPT for everything. But I would never put our actual product roadmap in there. Or customer data. Or anything we do not want competitors to see." a CEO told me this week during a call. I asked why. "Because I do not fully trust it." He was not paranoid. He was being careful. OpenAI says zero data retention. Their contracts say no training on your inputs. But then OpenAI themselves admitted they could not guarantee their models had not picked up data from researchers when solving that recent millenium math challenge. And there are enough anecdotal stories floating around. People feeding a model something it could not answer three months ago, then watching it suddenly answer the exact same question with similar output. Does not prove anything. But it is enough to make a CEO nervous about putting real IP in there. Especially customer data. So what do most companies do? They buy ChatGPT Team or Claude for their whole organization and then have rules about what employees can input (that they probably don't follow). Which means they are paying for a tool they cannot actually use for their most important work. There is a simple fix that almost nobody knows about. Multi-model setups let you route sensitive work to models running on closed cloud models. Same Claude or GPT capability, but hosted on AWS or Azure with no connection back to the model provider. Zero leakage. Full audit trail. You own the data. But here is the problem: switching costs are high. Once a company standardizes on ChatGPT or Claude, moving to a multi-model setup feels like ripping out the foundation. So most companies just accept the constraint and work around it. Some use openrouter for example to deal with it for agentic workflows but this doesn't solve the problem for employees using chat interfaces. Perplexity is another alternative with UI but with it's own limitation. And we built p30.ai to solve this challenge. You control exactly where the data goes. What confidential information are you not putting into your AI tools because of model leakage concerns?

Magnus Jern 올림Last week I spoke to a CEO who told me that they had bought ChatGPT Team for everyone. “Great,” I said. “What has changed?” Silence. A few people were using it. The marketing person was publishing more blogs and creating marketing emails. A product manager delivered a 40 page roadmap (that no one read). Someone in HR used it to review OKRs. The CEO used it to prepare for meetings and write emails. But there was no shared context. No shared workflows. No place to see what was working. No way for one person’s learning to help the next person. They had not really adopted AI as a company. They had bought 30 private assistants. That is where most businesses are today. The models are getting better every few months. But individual chat accounts do not create an organisational advantage by themselves. If your best AI workflow lives in one employee’s chat history, it is not a company capability. It is just an individual employee productivity boost. The real opportunity is making the learning compound: * A good workflow / agent that can be reused * Project context stays with the team * Decisions do not disappear into private chats * New hires can build on what others already figured out While at the same time giving employees privacy for the things that should stay private. This is what I've been working on for the last 12 months and I think we finally go there. Let me know if you learn how.

Magnus Jern 올림Grok Bot is brilliant. It's also completely unusable for any business. Grok Bot has gotten a lot of hype lately, and rightfully so. It makes personal automation dead simple: email workflows, content creation, scheduling, research, personal finance. It is basically OpenClaw with a user interface that normal people can actually use. I´ve been using it myself for email, whatsapp and back to school planning. But here is the problem: it only works for individuals or very small businesses. The moment you try to use it in a business context, it breaks down completely. Problem 1: Personal, not collaborative. Grok Bot automation lives on your computer and your cloud accounts. If you leave the company, the automation leaves with you. Your team cannot see what you built, learn from it, or improve it. Every employee ends up building isolated workflows that do not compound. Problem 2: Security nightmare. Grok Bot requires direct access to your computer, your email accounts, chat apps, your customer databases etc. For a solo founder? Fine. For a business handling customer data, employee records, and proprietary information? That is a problem waiting to happen. Most companies will never approve it. And rightfully so. So we have a gap: personal automation tools are easy to use but dangerous and siloed. Enterprise automation tools are secure but require consultants, engineers, and months of implementation. What if you could get Grok Bot-level simplicity with business-grade security and team collaboration? That is what we built with P30.ai Same ease of use. Same ability for non-technical people to build automations. Same speed of iteration. But designed from the ground up for teams: * All automations live in a shared workspace, so your team can see, learn from, and improve them. * Full audit trails and permission controls, so you know exactly who did what and when. * Secure by default. No direct access to your computer or unapproved third-party integrations. Institutional memory stays with the company, not the employee. Grok Bot unlocked personal productivity. Businesses need the same simplicity applied to team workflows. DM me to try it out.

Magnus Jern 올림I was showing some non-tech friends how to use lovable and Claude cowork this weekend. Their reaction? Completely uninterested. Didn´t want to build apps, Saas, websites, tools for themselves or analyse spreadsheets to optimise their finances. They like to use chatgtp to ask questions about how to fix the bicycle, about a flower, create fun images or ask questions on behalf of their kids. It just reminded me of the tech bubble i live in (and that Linkedin and X is).

Magnus Jern 올림I got tired of every employee having a private ChatGPT that forgets the company and that leaks and looses IP and knowledge. So we built a shared brain instead. We kept running into the same pattern. Someone on the team would get a great answer from ChatGPT. Another person would get a different answer from Claude. A third person would re-explain the same project context for the 4th time. None of it lived anywhere the company owned. When people left, the memory/knowledge left with them. So we built P30.ai. It's a shared workspace where the team works across Claude, GPT, Gemini, and Grok, and the context compounds at the project/org level, not just in one person’s chat history. What it actually does: • Workspaces where the whole team can prompt, tag/share, comment on, and reuse AI model interactions and agents • Organizational memory that sticks to the company • Multi-model checks (one model drafts, another stresses the answer, etc) and comparison • A Virtual Chief of Staff layer that turns that context into priorities instead of more chat Honest question. If your company already pays for ChatGPT Team or Claude, what would actually make you switch, shared workspaces, shared memory, multi-model in one place, grok bot like agents, or something else we’re missing?

Magnus Jern 올림I was asked today “why don’t businesses just switch to free AI open weight Chinese models for all AI usage?”. The person said businesses are stupid if they pay the premium of closed US models like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. There is a long list of reasons why this is not true and maybe the most important is legal liability. The US frontier labs have real liability. You can see this in the amount of lawsuits and settlements already taking place. Chinese open weight none. Just to list a few: A. Contractual IP Backstops Closed API vendors offer explicit copyright indemnification. Open-weight models ship with "AS IS" disclaimers, leaving you to absorb all legal defense costs if sued. B. Shift to Operator Liability When self-hosting open weights, you become the legal publisher/operator, taking on direct liability for any memorized PII, trade secrets, or IP violations hidden in the weights. C. Compliance Audit Burden Closed APIs allow you to rely on vendor compliance (SOC 2, ISO), whereas open weights force your internal team to prove compliance for strict frameworks like the EU AI Act. D. Zero Legal Recourse If problematic pre-training data triggers enforcement or lawsuits, you have zero contractual leverage against an open-source lab or foreign entity. The Chinese labs (Moonshot, Alibaba, etc) essentially pass 100% of the legal risk, copyright risk, and deployment liability to the user/company. Could open weight models still be used? Absolutely and especially for internal workflows where IP protection doesn’t matter. Also for small and medium size companies that are willing to take the risk. But it’s not as simple as “Use free open source or you’re stupid.

Magnus Jern 공유함I completely agree with this but I also think there is an easy fix.Magnus Jern 공유함The challenge in giving everybody in a company copilot or ChatGPT seems much the same as the challenge in giving them Excel in 1985. It’ll be life-changing for a tiny number of people and useful for quite a lot of them, but this isn’t how the company digitised its financial ops. Giving everybody a web browser in 1997 wasn’t a sufficient reaction to the internet, either.

Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함This chart is from a series that Stripe has been publishing (link below) and it shows just how far ahead the US is in the compute buildout. But I think the second-order effects are just as interesting. If AI becomes a general-purpose technology, then compute starts to look less like IT infrastructure and more like strategic industrial capacity. There's a chain from: Energy > Compute > Intelligence > Economic output. It means that there is a future scenario where Europe is mostly dependent on US compute while simultaneously the US goes into economic overdrive. https://eudata.vercel.app

Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Fun fact: Through 2025, each of Sweden's four remaining nuclear reactors generated more electricity than Denmark’s entire wind fleet had produced in its history. Forsmark 3 and Oskarshamn 3 both started operating in 1985, the same year Denmark voted to remove nuclear power from its energy planning. Forty years later, each is still ahead of Denmark’s cumulative wind generation. Another interesting comparison: Forsmark 3 generated 8.78 TWh in 2025. Using Vattenfall’s Blakliden-Fäbodberget wind farm as a Swedish benchmark, producing the same annual electricity would require roughly 670 modern 4.2 MW wind turbines. That wind farm’s lifecycle emissions are about 8 g CO₂e/kWh, compared with roughly 3 g CO₂e/kWh for Vattenfall nuclear, or about 2.7x higher per unit of electricity. Nuclear is much greener than wind. And much more reliable. 🙂 Credit for the chart: Jens Christiansen. Link in comments.

Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함LOCAL SEO IS BECOMING LOCAL GEO. For years, the goal was simple: 📍 Get your business into Google Maps 🔎 Rank for “[service] + [location]” ⭐ Collect reviews 📈 Drive traffic to your website But search is changing. People are increasingly asking AI: “Who is the best [service] near me?” “Who would you recommend in [town]?” “What are the best companies for [service] in [area]?” And the answer isn't necessarily going to be the business ranking #1 on Google. AI needs to understand: • What your business does • Where you operate • What you are known for • Whether other sources trust and mention you • What customers say about you • Whether your website demonstrates genuine expertise That's where GEO — Generative Engine Optimisation — meets Local SEO. The opportunity for local businesses is huge. Instead of simply trying to rank in a location, the objective becomes becoming a recognised and recommended business within that location. So if you're a local business, don't just ask: “Where do we rank?” Start asking: “If someone asked AI who they should use in our area, would we be part of the answer?” That's a very different marketing question. How about a call to discuss? Its is free and no obigation 🙃 https://lnkd.in/exxgCZhM #SEO #GEO #LocalSEO #DigitalMarketing #AI #MarketingStrategy

Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Amazon has just blocked Meta’s AI from shopping on its website. 🤖🛒 Meta’s new AI agent, Muse, can browse the web and take actions for you — including making purchases with your approval. But send it to Amazon and it hits a problem: “Unauthorised AI agent.” Amazon says Muse wasn’t authorised to access its store or customer accounts and raised concerns around identification, security and customer experience. But here’s where it gets interesting. Shopify and PayPal are taking the opposite approach and integrating with Muse. And that exposes a much bigger question about where AI agents are heading. You might give an AI permission to act for you. That doesn’t mean every website has to let it in. The next AI battle might not be about who has the smartest AI. It might be about who’s allowed through the door.

Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함Magnus Jern 좋아요 표시함AI search isn't a "future trend" anymore. It's here, and it's growing fast. New Comscore data (Q2 2026) shows just how quickly things are shifting: 📊 Google AI Overviews now appear in 39.4% of U.S. desktop searches — up from 25.8% a year ago. 📊 Bing's Copilot Search is up too, now appearing in 17.3% of searches. 📊 Overall search volume is actually growing, not shrinking — 77 billion U.S. desktop searches in Q2 2026, up 8% on 2024. The bit worth paying attention to for brands: 🔹 YouTube and Reddit are dominating AI citations — YouTube topped retail, entertainment and financial searches; Reddit ranked near the top across the board. 🔹 Being a "source" doesn't mean being "cited." Tripadvisor informed 61% of lodging-related AI answers but was only visibly cited in 21% of them. Same story for Hotels.com, Expedia and Booking.com. You can influence the answer without getting the credit (or the click). 🔹 The AI assistant race is tightening. ChatGPT still leads with ~50% of prompt share, but that's down from 70% in January — Gemini's up to 30%, and Claude's climbed from 2% to 11%. The takeaway: search visibility isn't just about ranking #1 anymore — it's about whether you show up inside the AI-generated answer at all. Two very different games, and most businesses are still only playing one of them. (Source: Comscore Q2 2026 AI Intelligence Report, via Search Engine Land) Let's Talk - https://lnkd.in/exxgCZhM

Many small companies we speak to don’t think about an EU Authorised Representative until it's a bit late. So we decided to publish a 4-part AR guide series to make it simple: • Do you need an EU AR? • What an AR actually does (and doesn’t do) • EU vs UK after Brexit (incl. Northern Ireland) • How to choose a compliant AR provider Links: https://lnkd.in/dBkVmbSt https://lnkd.in/dmQG83-c https://lnkd.in/d49nYJ3M https://lnkd.in/dUPaEHc9 If you’re selling physical products into the EU this year, bookmark this and share it with whoever handles product compliance internally. #EUAuthorisedRepresentative #ProductCompliance #EUMarket #Manufacturing #Ecommerce

I'd better clear some time... I've got a whole lot of nominating to do. For the inspiring enviromental, climate and social impact journeys that I've recently supported with underestimated founders at the helm that are located within Europe. You should too, right Vera Elizabeth B. + Yonca Braeckman (that's an A+ tag-team from the 4P CAPITAL + Impact Shakers stables). === We are inviting nominations for the first edition of 50 Diverse Led Impact Startups to watch in Europe. The list will highlight early stage startups headquartered in Europe, led by founders from backgrounds historically underrepresented in European venture capital, and working towards meaningful impact at scale. Nominations are open to anyone across the ecosystem, including founders, investors, accelerators, operators, and community builders. You may nominate your own company or suggest a startup you believe deserves greater visibility. ===

#Casestudy The 3 Mistakes that almost cost a European Food Delivery App Their Momentum Let’s talk about the mistakes. Not the ones you read in startup guides. The ones that quietly kill momentum. The ones that cost deals, confuse investors, and stall growth. We recently worked with a D2C food delivery app based in Europe. Brilliant product. Strong traction. But their pitch deck? It was holding them back. Here’s what we saw and what we fixed. 👉 Mistake #1: Explaining too much, too soon. Their deck opened with features, logistics, and backend tech. But no one invests in operations. They invest in vision. We flipped the narrative: Started with the problem Showed the emotional pain of food delivery fatigue Positioned their app as the relief Suddenly, the story made sense. 👉 Mistake #2: Data without direction. They had charts. Growth curves. Retention metrics. But no context. We reframed the data: Highlighted what it meant Connected it to market trends Made it part of the story, not just decoration Now, every number had a purpose. 👉 Mistake #3: No emotional arc. The deck felt transactional. But food is emotional. Convenience is emotional. Time saved is emotional. We redesigned the flow: Built tension around the problem Delivered relief through their solution Ended with a vision that made investors feel the opportunity Result? They secured €5M in funding. 🔥 But more importantly, they started getting inbound interest from strategic partners across Europe. Here’s the truth: 👉 Your deck isn’t just a presentation. 👉 It’s your story, your strategy, your shot. Most clients make these mistakes. Our best clients fix them and win. #startup #fooddeliveryapp #investorpitch #fundraising #pitchdeck #slidesiq #successstory

Silicon Valley is cool. But have you seen what’s happening in Europe? Startups in the EU are leveling up, very fast... VC funding is flowing. Infrastructure is stronger. Local ecosystems are maturing. As Kai Brandt pointed out, these are the big trends: • More startup hubs across cities beyond London, Berlin, Paris • EU funds and local governments pushing deep tech and AI • Talent is less “exported” and more “homegrown” • Global founders choosing to stay in Europe (or return) • European products solving globally relevant problems The narrative is changing: Europe is not a founder exporting country. It’s becoming a powerhouse. And many startups are leading the way: Lovable, Synthesia, Mistral AI, TravelPerk, Personio, Job&Talent, Intercom, Attio, Klarna, N26, Bolt, Factorial, Revolut, Adyen, Booking... If you’re building in Europe, reshare this for visibility Tag a European founder who’s on a moonshot and it's missing from the map! Comment map and I'll share with you Kai Brandt's map!

Excited to be back at IBC in Amsterdam! 🇳🇱 I left this out in yesterday's video, make sure you head over to Hall 14: Future Tech )not Innovation hall that I called it) to see the IBC Accelerator Media Innovation Programme in action. See all the projects here https://lnkd.in/ef-DHR4R Two projects in particular to call out (but all the project are amazing) * Smart Stories (Incubator 2026): Context as Infrastructure While protocols like MOS connected broadcast tools operationally, they never connected them editorially. This project introduces an open standard called the Story Object Model (SOM)—a shared, intelligent data layer that gives autonomous AI agents consistent editorial context across rundowns, MAMs, graphics, and multi-platform publishing, all while keeping human editorial oversight front and center. Smart Stories Project Details: https://lnkd.in/eu5mSkU7 * Delta Protocol: Live Media Reinvented Shifting streaming from "moving raw pixels" to "moving scene intelligence". By transmitting only meaningful delta changes alongside base continuity layers, Delta Protocol explores an AI-native transmission architecture that dramatically cuts compute and distribution overhead, unlocks scalable personalization, and rethinks stream protections Delta Protocol Project Details: https://lnkd.in/e2-YCU9q Both are hosting live multi-partner demonstrations and stage sessions right inside the Future Tech Stage in Hall 14: * Delta Protocol: Saturday, 12 Sept | 11:30 – 12:30 featuring the unstoppable Chris Hampartsoumian * Smart Stories: Saturday, 12 Sept | 16:00 – 17:00 If you’re at IBC, let’s catch up in Hall 14 or on the Google Cloud stand in Hall 5. #IBC2026 #FutureTech #BroadcastInnovation #AgenticAI #LiveStreaming #MediaTech #AI

Did we just witness an inflection point for Dutch tech? Yesterday's State of Dutch Tech 2026 summit brought together over 500 founders, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem builders. The energy was palpable. Several moments stood out and offered crucial insights. Rob Jetten made it abundantly clear: the coalition is serious about *moving*, not just talking. The political tailwind for Dutch tech is strengthening with a focus on a unified Europe, smarter regulation, and talent investment. For the first time in a while, policy and innovation feel truly aligned. Then, Dr. Jeanette Epps, a real astronaut, reminded us of humanity's bold steps into space. She spoke of innovations that could transform life on Earth, a powerful message shared with incredible grace, honoring her recently departed twin sister. It was a profound honor to meet her. The State of Dutch Tech report, presented by Bob Rietveld, delivered a stark, honest message: we're stuck. While deeptech is driving scaleup growth, other sectors lag. We have immense AI talent, yet our startup-to-scaleup conversion rate is a fraction of the US. Strong foundations are useless if we don't build upon them. At Techleap, our mission this year is clear: to dismantle these roadblocks. We're building an unparalleled community of Dutch founders and leaders and connecting them globally. If you're a founder or leader in Dutch tech, join us. This is *the* moment to act. But the true highlight? My colleague Davinia Levie. She looked at the room of 500+ influential individuals – the policymakers, the innovators, the investors, the builders – and issued a challenge: "Let's get to work." She transformed the summit into an active working session. The audience identified 15 critical topics. Everyone rolled up their sleeves. The Miro team brilliantly captured every insight. By day's end, 3 topics were selected for immediate action, backed by TNO, Techleap, and Invest-NL. All 15 will be open for broader ecosystem participation. This is the shift. Moving from acknowledging problems to actively solving them. Bob's call to action resonates: "It's time to get unstuck." Let's make it happen. What are your thoughts on bridging the gap between policy and innovation in tech? #StateofDutchTech2026 #Techleap #TNO #InvestNL

Hello all! I am beyond proud to announce the launch of Flaming Owl Consulting Agency The Problem We Saw 🤨 Companies rarely struggle from a lack of ambition, they struggle from misalignment. Individually, each function performs its role, but when these functions operate in silos, the cracks start to show. • Tools don’t integrate • Data is inconsistent or unreliable • Processes rely on manual workarounds • Ownership is unclear • Reporting doesn’t reflect reality • Teams blame each other instead of fixing the system Growth becomes reactive. Execution becomes inconsistent. Scaling becomes fragile. That’s where most companies get stuck. We Lead with a CXO Approach 👋 A CXO (Chief “X” Officer) looks across the entire organization — not just one department — and ensures decisions serve the business as a whole. A modern company needs this perspective, whether or not someone formally holds the title. The CXO mindset is about viewing the business as an interconnected system, where decisions in marketing affect sales, sales affects operations, and technology underpins them all. We apply that philosophy to every engagement, evaluating the full revenue engine and designing solutions that strengthen how each function supports the next. Owning and operating a great business requires a deliberate philosophy. Long-term performance is not accidental, it is engineered through alignment, clarity, and disciplined execution. According to Deloitte’s 2025 CX Study, 73% of companies with above-average customer experience outperform their competitors financially. When leadership aligns systems around customer and revenue outcomes, performance follows. Source: Deloitte Digital, CX Study 2025. Our Solution 🦉 We design and operate end-to-end revenue infrastructure. • Connecting marketing, sales, and operations into one engineered system • Establishing data as the source of truth • Creating clear ownership • Building measurable, repeatable processes From acquisition through fulfillment, every stage is intentional. We understand how systems are architected, integrated, automated, and measured, giving you the ability to be actionable on you strategy. Strategy without implementation is just theory - We design for execution from day one. Our Standard 👌 Your revenue infrastructure should be owned with clarity. It should be grounded in data. It should operate with stability. 🔥🦉 If you believe your core systems should be engineered, not improvised... Check us out! ➡️ https://flamingowl.co/
