Reason: I am requesting semi-protection for Ismail al-Faruqi and a set of pages related to him due to chronic sockpuppetry. These pages are a daily or weekly target of newly created socks of Ibn Juferi, and semi-protection will slow down the sockmaster's ability to change these pages. In addition to Ismail al-Faruqi and for the same reason, I am requesting semi-protection for:

Given that the talk page discussions seem not to be increasing mutual understanding, I'm not optimistic that forcing the two primary combatants there would make much difference to the situation.   Declined "Unsourced changes by newly registered editors" is often what happens with breaking news stories, and we have to assume they mean well even when we revert.
