The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the town of Ethan, will hold a public meeting open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (CT) on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at the Town Hall located at 218 W. Main St. in Ethan. The public meeting is designed to discuss and receive public input regarding the preliminary recommendations for the Master Transportation Plan being developed for the town of Ethan. The study area includes all roads, sidewalks, and other transportation‑related infrastructure.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the town of Dimock, will hold a public meeting open house from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (CT) on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at City Hall located at 505 S. Main St. in Dimock. The public meeting is designed to discuss and receive input regarding the preliminary recommendations for the Master Transportation Plan being developed for Dimock.

The public meeting open house will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussions with the study team. A short presentation will be given at the beginning of the meeting.

The overall goal for the study is to develop a long-range plan for the town of Dimock. The study area includes all roads, sidewalks, and other transportation related infrastructure within the Dimock city limits.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold an informational meeting at 5 p.m. to share information on the background and phases for the U.S. Highway 16/16B/Catron Boulevard interchange construction project in Rapid City.

The construction information meeting will take place in the event room at Black Hills Energy, located at 7001 Mount Rushmore Rd. in Rapid City.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house to present the design and construction phasing for the above project and receive public input.

Representatives from SDDOT will be available to answer questions, discuss the project, and receive community input. A short presentation will be shared shortly after 5:30 p.m. The opportunity to present written or online comments will be made available. Written comments are accepted until Friday, Sept. 11, 2026.
