Yesterday, we gathered our LPs for North Ventures Investor Day. We shared an update, introduced our latest investments and gave a closer look at where we are heading. The development of the fund is ultimately reflected in the companies we back - in the teams building them, the technology they are developing and the progress they are making. 💫 Yesterday, we got to see that up close with Robert Lauritzen, CEO and co-founder of our portfolio company Cerebriu. Robert shared the journey behind Apollo, Cerebriu’s autonomous MRI platform, and summed up the ambition in two simple lines: “First time right. Right patient first.” In practice, that means bringing real-time intelligence into the MRI scanner to support better decisions while the patient is still on the table - with the broader mission of helping more patients get diagnosed in time. It was great to have so many familiar faces in the room and to share a closer look at the companies, investments and developments shaping the portfolio. The capital we raise locally is put to work through founders, products and technologies that often travel far beyond where they started. Cerebriu, recently named among TIME’s World’s Top HealthTech Companies of 2026, is a very tangible example of that. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Deloitte for once again hosting us.

Welcome, HyImpulse! We’re proud to announce our investment in HyImpulse, a German spacetech company developing suborbital and orbital launch vehicles built around a fundamentally different approach to rocket propulsion. At the heart of HyImpulse is a proprietary hybrid engine combining solid paraffin with liquid oxygen. The architecture uses roughly half the number of components found in conventional liquid-fuelled rocket engines, reducing complexity and creating the potential for significantly better launch economics. HyImpulse has already proven the technology in flight with the successful launch of its SR75 suborbital rocket in 2024. The team is now preparing its next launch from Scotland while developing SL1, its orbital launch vehicle. With an order book exceeding €350 million, HyImpulse is already seeing strong demand for more independent and flexible launch capabilities, while helping strengthen Europe’s sovereign access to space. 🚀 That combination of differentiated technology, demonstrated execution and a clear European need is why we’re so excited to support Christian, Konstantin, Mario, Ulrich, Lennart and the entire HyImpulse team in this next phase, as part of the company’s €50m+ Series A Extension led by Join Capital GmbH and Ace Capital Partners. AI data centers, radar systems and next-generation telecom infrastructure are pushing semiconductors to their limits. For decades, silicon has been the foundation of modern electronics. But as systems require more power, higher frequencies and greater efficiency, new materials are needed. And that’s why we’re proud to invest in and partner with SweGaN AB as the company scales production and accelerates the development of its next generation of GaN-on-SiC materials. Born out of research at Linköpings universitet, SweGaN has spent more than a decade developing proprietary semiconductor materials for high-performance RF and power electronics. Led by co-founder and CEO Jr-Tai Chen, the team has taken the technology from academic research through years of development and customer qualification and is now entering its next phase of commercial scale! Today, SweGaN’s technology is being developed for applications across defense, telecom, satellite communications and data centers. As advanced semiconductors become increasingly critical to Europe’s security, infrastructure and competitiveness, scaling this capability in Europe is also a question of technological sovereignty. We’re excited to back Jr-Tai and the entire SweGaN team in this next phase, alongside Thisbe AB and existing shareholders, as they expand production and strengthen Europe’s position in advanced semiconductor materials. Our portfolio company Dryp is looking for a VP Product & Engineering to join its leadership team and help shape the next chapter of the company. Dryp builds IoT- and data-driven technology that helps utilities and cities manage wastewater and stormwater systems more intelligently - reducing pollution, preventing flooding and adapting to heavier rainfall. 💦 Over the past years, Dryp has developed from a hardware-focused company into a software and analytics company. Today, its platform, Lens, helps utilities turn real-world measurements into better operational and investment decisions. As CEO Dina Widd puts it: “We've spent years building sensors and collecting data. The next exciting step in our journey is helping utilities automatically understand what that data means and what they should do about it. The person joining us will help transform massive datasets into simple answers to critical questions about flooding, pollution, and climate adaptation.” That next step puts product and technology at the centre of Dryp’s development. The right person will work closely with Dina, Peter, Rasmus, the leadership team and the board to set product and technology direction, lead a talented technical team and stay close to both customers and the codebase. It is a role for someone who combines technical credibility with strong product judgment, understands what it takes to build software in a scale-up environment and wants to create technology with real-world impact. That is why ISO 9001 certification is an important milestone for our portfolio company Quadsat! 🙌🏼 The certification reflects more than a formal quality standard. It marks another step in Quadsat’s development as they continue to build the operational foundation needed to deliver advanced technology at increasing scale. Quadsat provides electronic warfare payloads, software solutions, and advanced RF measurement and signal analysis capabilities to defence customers worldwide. As they continue to grow their role in a demanding global market, the structures behind the technology become increasingly important. In a sector where new technologies need to move faster from development to deployment, quality, reliability and risk management are not side notes. They are part of what makes scaling possible.
