𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The challenge is turning them into growth. At Euroclear’s French market event in Paris yesterday, leaders from across government, regulation, industry and financial markets came together to discuss how Europe can better mobilise savings to finance innovation, competitiveness and long-term growth. The evening brought together leading voices from policy, regulation and business, including 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗮𝗻, Eric Lombard, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, Alain DEMAROLLE, Fabrice Le Saché, Denis Beau and Valérie Urbain, to explore how Europe can build deeper, more integrated and more competitive capital markets. A clear message emerged throughout the discussion. Europe already possesses many of the foundations it needs to succeed: deep pools of savings, strong institutions, innovative businesses and world-class expertise. The priority now is to connect these strengths more effectively, enabling issuers to access the capital they need to invest, innovate and grow in Europe. The discussion between Denis Beau and Valérie Urbain brought these themes to life through #Pythagore. Developed through close co-creation with the Banque de France and market participants, the initiative shows how digital issuance and tokenisation can help modernise capital markets. Interoperability will be essential, connecting new digital solutions with existing markets while preserving trust, liquidity, resilience and legal certainty. We were also honoured to receive a video message from President Emmanuel Macron, who highlighted Euroclear’s strategic role in supporting France’s financial markets: “France has in Euroclear a major strategic asset that plays a vital role every day in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial markets.” – President Emmanuel Macron Thank you to all our speakers, clients and partners for contributing to such an insightful discussion and to our Euroclear colleagues whose work made the event possible. The conversation around Europe’s future is increasingly moving from policy ambition to implementation and that is where progress takes shape.

𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗞 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗬 The conversation on digital assets does not end with our Modernising Securities Markets conference. Building on the momentum and insights shared during last week's event, we are launching a new market engagement initiative to explore the future of digital market infrastructure. Supported by EY, the initiative will bring together market participants to share perspectives on Euroclear's digital assets use case, understand where the greatest opportunities for efficiency exist for the market participants and assess the operational and technology readiness required to support adoption at scale. Our objective is to take a thoughtful, market-led approach, ensuring that future solutions are designed with industry needs at their core. Collaboration is critical to successful innovation. By engaging closely with market participants, we aim to turn insights into action and help shape the future of digital market infrastructure. This is just the beginning of the conversation. We look forward to sharing more as the initiative progresses. Stay tuned. #DigitalAssets

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The conversation around tokenisation is evolving. The question is no longer whether the technology works. The focus is increasingly shifting towards how we can deploy it at scale, create common standards and deliver meaningful benefits to market participants. That is the ambition behind #Pythagore, the community initiative led by Banque de France, Euroclear and the market ecosystem. While Pythagore works to digitalise the NEU CP market, its significance goes far beyond a single asset class. It is designed to demonstrate the benefits of tokenisation on a meaningful market size and help pave the way for broader adoption across European capital markets. A key factor in this journey is collaboration. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. That is why Pythagore is built on co-construction. Participants are not simply testing transactions. They are helping shape future market processes, define functional requirements and design the operating models that could underpin tomorrow's capital markets. Together, we are helping build the foundations for the next generation of European capital markets. Get clear answers to your questions about Pythagore here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eHxtjh8G

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲? Pablo Portugal, our Senior Public Affairs Director, explores this question in the latest edition of the Journal of Financial Services, in an article co-authored with Nicolas Micheli. The article explores how effective connectivity, interoperability and innovation can help strengthen European capital markets while accommodating the diversity of Europe's financial ecosystem. Read the article to explore their perspective 👉

I’m pleased to share an article published in the Journal of Financial Services titled “Unity without uniformity: how Europe can build integrated capital markets without a single post-trade infrastructure”, which I co-authored with Nicolas Micheli. In a diverse European landscape, scale comes from giving users access to pan-European infrastructure, deep liquidity and services that cater to their needs. Delivering the Savings and Investments Union in this area will require a combination of solutions. They include a single point of access for all asset classes, effective market links leveraging T2S, integrated CSD platforms, and foundations for robust and interoperable DLT infrastructure. Some takeaways: -Effective connectivity, rather than institutional uniformity, can deliver practical integration; -Hub-based models have shown their value and already support activity in several areas - efforts should focus on maximising their potential for users; -These models can strengthen resilience and strategic autonomy as new technologies emerge; -Legal, supervisory and market discrepancies need to be addressed; -Digital assets provide a huge opportunity - we must emphasise trust, interoperability and public-private collaboration from an early stage to avoid the mistakes of the past. 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗼𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 As central bank digital currencies, tokenised deposits and regulated stablecoins gain momentum, what are the implications of a multi-asset settlement world? At #Sibos 2026, Isabelle Delorme, Head of Product Strategy and Innovation at Euroclear, will join a panel of industry leaders at the session 'One settlement asset or many? Designing the future of global settlement' on 29 September at 13:30 local time. We were honoured to welcome 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆, Governor of the Bank of England, to mark the occasion and join Valérie Urbain, CEO of Euroclear group, for a fireside chat.    For 30 years, we have helped underpin the smooth and efficient functioning of the UK's financial infrastructure. Our new London office is more than a new location. 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! Today marks an important milestone for Europe’s financial markets as the Eurosystem’s Pontes platform goes live, enabling the settlement of DLT-based transactions in central bank money. This is another strong signal that tokenisation is moving from experimentation to industrialisation. Euroclear had the pleasure of attending the official Pontes launch event in Frankfurt, where Isabelle Delorme, Euroclear's Global Head of Product Strategy & Innovation, joined the opening roundtable hosted by Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank. At Euroclear, we are proud to contribute to this next chapter through #Pythagore, the initiative co-created by Banque de France, Euroclear and a large community of market participants to tokenise the NEU CP market. Designed in alignment with Pontes from the very start, Pythagore will help demonstrate the benefits of tokenisation at meaningful market scale while paving the way for broader adoption across European capital markets. The momentum is already there. With issuers representing more than 60% of the NEU CP market already engaged in the initiative, Pythagore shows that progress comes not from technology alone, but from collaboration across the entire ecosystem. The future of tokenised markets will be built through common standards, interoperable infrastructures and co-creation. Today’s Pontes go-live is an important step on that journey. The Savings and Investments Union aims to direct more of Europe's savings towards productive investment – giving savers more choice and helping European companies access the capital they need. The move to T+1 will bring a different challenge: shorter timelines and an even greater need for accurate, timely information. For issuers, early preparation will be important, particularly when it comes to dividend announcements and other corporate actions. In episode 5 of In brief: insights on the issuer community, Geert D. explains why regulation must ultimately deliver better outcomes for issuers, investors and intermediaries. Euroclear Belgium, Euroclear France and Euroclear Nederland combine local-market knowledge with the infrastructure and coordination needed to help clients prepare for regulatory change.
