As part of our digitalisation and modernisation strategy, some colleagues visited the SAP s.factory in Walldorf and had an exciting strategic exchange regarding the S/4HANA Transformation

Our solution for fine-powdered and moisture-sensitive products: our PowFlex® ffs is a tear-resistant and sift-proof FFS tube that is formed, filled and sealed on automated lines in a continuous process. The integrated PowFlex® venting system extracts the air trapped during filling via a vent channel at the top. This facilitates controlled venting during and after filling and provides lasting protection against moisture and the elements. Furthermore, the ventilation features and the film properties ensure smooth and efficient palletising whilst minimising transport and storage volume. Powdered products used in the building, chemical and food industries are ideally packaged in PowFlex® vs. Our PowFlex® vs offers reliable protection against the influences of the weather, moisture and packaging damage. Our Walpack, available as an open sack or an open cross-bottom sack, is designed for the packaging and transport of pasty masses as well as other products with a high risk of leakage. The cross-bottom and the punched-out, reinforced carrying handle enhance the stability of the packaging and facilitate handling, even with heavy loads. By the way: our Walpack has won this year’s WorldStar Award in the ‘Packaging Materials and Components’ category.

The recycling processes and management systems used are audited in accordance with the RecyClass Recycling Process Audit Scheme and meet the requirements of EN 15343:2007. This ensures that procedures for the traceability of the recycled plastics used and for determining the recycled content are documented.

Our first appearance at INTERMOB in Istanbul was a complete success: the trade fair for the furniture and woodworking industry once again attracted a great deal of interest this year, drawing more than 30,000 visitors. One of the key topics was the increasing demands in terms of protecting furniture surfaces. The issue of adhesive residues, in particular, was a major concern for many of our Turkish contacts. Our team presented various surface protection solutions tailored to different furniture surfaces and application requirements. The discussions highlighted just how important precisely tailored product protection is for storage, transport and further processing. “We attracted a great deal of attention with our high-quality surface protection films for all types of furniture surfaces,” summarises Niklas Heilemann, Solution Manager.
