𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The challenge is turning them into growth. At Euroclear’s French market event in Paris yesterday, leaders from across government, regulation, industry and financial markets came together to discuss how Europe can better mobilise savings to finance innovation, competitiveness and long-term growth. The evening brought together leading voices from policy, regulation and business, including 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗮𝗻, Eric Lombard, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, Alain DEMAROLLE, Fabrice Le Saché, Denis Beau and Valérie Urbain, to explore how Europe can build deeper, more integrated and more competitive capital markets. A clear message emerged throughout the discussion. Europe already possesses many of the foundations it needs to succeed: deep pools of savings, strong institutions, innovative businesses and world-class expertise. The priority now is to connect these strengths more effectively, enabling issuers to access the capital they need to invest, innovate and grow in Europe. The discussion between Denis Beau and Valérie Urbain brought these themes to life through #Pythagore. Developed through close co-creation with the Banque de France and market participants, the initiative shows how digital issuance and tokenisation can help modernise capital markets. Interoperability will be essential, connecting new digital solutions with existing markets while preserving trust, liquidity, resilience and legal certainty. We were also honoured to receive a video message from President Emmanuel Macron, who highlighted Euroclear’s strategic role in supporting France’s financial markets: “France has in Euroclear a major strategic asset that plays a vital role every day in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial markets.” – President Emmanuel Macron Thank you to all our speakers, clients and partners for contributing to such an insightful discussion and to our Euroclear colleagues whose work made the event possible. The conversation around Europe’s future is increasingly moving from policy ambition to implementation and that is where progress takes shape.
