A prominent piece of infrastructure at our Sarnia site is now also a celebration of the community around it. Local Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne, owner of Seventh Rayn Design Co., created the original artwork featured on our newest 150-foot-diameter storage tank along Indian Road. Visible along one of Sarnia’s well-travelled routes, the artwork brings together recognizable images from across Sarnia-Lambton and transforms the tank into a reflection of the community and landscape that surround our operations. Thank you, Kennady, for bringing this meaningful piece of local art to life.

There’s a lot to be optimistic about when it comes to Alberta’s energy future.   It was great to join Calgary’s business community yesterday and hear directly from Premier Danielle Smith on her perspective about the opportunities ahead for our province.   We’ve seen important progress over the past year, including greater recognition of the role our industry plays in Canada and momentum around major projects that could strengthen our economy for decades to come.   At Imperial Oil, we believe a strong Alberta and a strong Canada go hand in hand. Four local students. Four exciting paths ahead. 🎉 This year, we’re proud to recognize four students from the Cold Lake and Lakeland area who received scholarships through Imperial Cold Lake. The 2026 Billion Barrel Scholarship recipients are: 🎓 Lucas Vining, a graduate of Assumption High School, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Calgary 🎓 Abdulqudoos Abdulsalam, a graduate of St. Paul Regional High School, who is beginning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Alberta The 2026 Indigenous Education Award recipients are: 🎓 Cash Seguin, a graduate of Assumption Jr./Sr. High School, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta 🎓 Lexy Mackay, a graduate of École Notre Dame High School, who is completing her Preprofessional Year of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan Through these scholarships, we’re proud to help support local students as they take the next step in their education and work toward their future goals. 👏 $585,000 raised for the United Way of Calgary and Area. That’s what happens when a little friendly competition meets a lot of community spirit. Yesterday, Imperial employees, volunteers and partners came together for our annual United Way Golf Tournament and once again showed what we can accomplish together. ⛳ 🏌️ A huge thank you to everyone who golfed, volunteered, organized, donated and supported this year’s tournament. It was a great day on the course, but an even better day for our community.

A billion-barrel achievement calls for a big celebration. 🎉 Yesterday, employees came together in Calgary to recognize the dedication and contributions of the many people behind Kearl's one-billion-barrel milestone. The afternoon included food, games and friendly competition, with a United Way of Calgary and Area dunk tank fundraiser bringing plenty of laughs (and a few memorable outfits). Thank you to everyone who has been part of Kearl’s journey so far.

The learning doesn't stop just because school is out for the summer ☀️ We were proud to help provide STEM-focused summer camp experiences to youth across Canada through STEM Camp, giving 222 children the opportunity to build confidence, spark curiosity, and develop critical thinking through hands-on learning. To help bring a real-world perspective on the concepts the campers were learning, two of our own – Calvin Kuang and Alvaro Patino – presented on what engineers do and fielded questions ranging from how gasoline engines work to how oil comes from the ground to how oil turns into jet fuel. We hope these experiences inspire the next generation to keep exploring, learning, and pursuing a future in STEM!
