Over these years, I've connected with offices, visited offshore units and shipyards around the globe. These experiences allowed me to exchange valuable insights and implement new ways of working with on-offshore teams, and clients on continuously strengthening safety capability — a collective effort driven by a solid leadership presence in the field and risk-based approach reflected in zero FPI. Grateful for being part of this team and excited for what lies ahead.

I am proud to have been a part of this dynamic workplace since the company's inception in Brazil. Together, we achieved significant milestones: obtaining permits, fostering team building, recovering assets, securing certifications, and establishing and improving our processes in a remarkably short time. I truly enjoyed the journey, especially the challenges we overcame with positivity ;) Thank you for the knowledge gained and the opportunities. Keep up the good work and #rocktherocks.

Leonardo Alcantara shared thisIt is was pleasure to exchange experience with a knowledgeable audience and panelists at the CLEAN GULF Conference & Exhibition, Texas. During the panel, “Risk Management and Planning for Oil Spill Response: New Challenges and Success Cases in Brazil”, I had the opportunity to present how Trident Energy team successfully take over, estabilized and incremented production in the mid-life assets in Brazil. Aligned with all technical expertise of the team, the strategy adopted to overcome the challenges we had ahead of us, was to implement an assertive risk management approach avoiding major accidents hazards (MAH), emergencies readiness, recover the asset/safety critical elements integrity, and continually improves the processes aiming a sustainable operations. Such achievement, couldn’t be possible without the dedication of our tireless off/onshore staff. Once again, congrats for the well done job! You #RockTheRocks!

It was discussed with experienced industry colleagues 'The importance of managing the portfolio of mature fields for the Brazilian economy with an ESG perspective'. During this panel, we had the opportunity to present how Trident combines the enhancement of mature’s fields' production capabilities (embraced into Trident's DNA) and brings a positive impact to ESG and Sustainability subjects. Leonardo Alcantara shared thisAfter a quite long journey, all Trident Energy platforms (P65, PCE1, P08, PPM1) and our Office in Brazil have been approved by the external ABS audit, obtaining therefore the ISM Code certification in the first quarter of this year. This achievement was only possible after Trident shows compliance through the HSE management system with the ISM Code elements. Such compliance was demonstrated by employees' safety awareness, environmental protection, and by proving during the audit process the enormous efforts to recover the asset since the take-over (2,5 years ago) – thus, increasing the overall safety level of the platforms. Some examples of improvements presented during the audits were: Life safe appliance (LSA) replacement (E.g.: Lifeboats and rafts); Hydrocarbon pipes/valves replaced/properly inspected (dozen of kilometers); Emergency shutdowns valves replaced/inspected; Sewage station overhauling; Emergency equipment replaced/inspected (E.g.: Firewater pump replaced, Emergency stairs rebuilt, Fire system test/certification, etc). Well done job from off/onshore teams that have performed hard work to make it happen. Let’s keep protecting the Environment and our People and thus continually create a free incident workplace aligned with Trident Energy Sustainability Policy. Great teamwork effort! Leonardo Alcantara shared thisBack in September, the official IBAMA annual drill took place in Trident Energy Rio’s Office. The Incident Management Team responded to the proposed scenario along with the PCE1 platform and, after one full day exercise (deploying equipment in the sea, activating external resources, spill specialists, etc) our emergency response plan was successfully approved by the agency. Around this same period, I had the opportunity to accompany an emergency drill aboard the PPM1 while visiting the platform as part of an initial ISM Code certification. I was very proud and glad to observe in situ how the ICS concepts were incorporated by the whole staff/crew. This is a result of a lot of previous training and preparation. Since the takeover, bringing these assets back to the right trail has been a hard and exciting journey. Continual efforts are being made to incorporate/improve the ESG/Sustainability concepts, to avoid incidents by keeping the risk ALARP and reinforcing emergency response readiness in our operations. I want to take this opportunity and recognize the on-offshore teams for their tireless pursuit of improving our HSE performance. You all should be proud! #rocktherocks

Reconhecer esses silêncios é essencial para compreender seus efeitos sobre a aprendizagem e a segurança operacional. O tema gerou ricas reflexões e debate na sessão técnica que contou com apresentações de Paula Cachapuz Foernges e Josenildo Rodrigues, mediada por Karla Pereira. Agradeço à Caroline Capaverde, autora principal e profunda estudiosa de Hannah Arendt, pela condução intelectual do trabalho, e aos coautores Eder HenriqsonEder Henriqson, Moises Costa, Naida Menezes e Matheus Pulz pela construção coletiva da pesquisa.

Não controla o que as pessoas pensam de você, o que elas fazem, as circunstâncias que aparecem no seu caminho ou o que já aconteceu e não tem mais volta. Mas tem uma coisa que continua sendo só sua: como você responde a tudo isso. É bem aí que o Estoicismo esbarra na Filosofia Japonesa. O estoico treina o olho pra separar o que depende dele do que não depende. O samurai treina o corpo (e a mente) pra continuar de pé mesmo quando tudo ao redor desmorona. Tem um conceito japonês, Fudōshin, a "mente imóvel", que muita gente entende errado. Não é sobre parar de sentir. É sobre não deixar o que você sente pilotar suas decisões por você. Autocontrole não é frieza, não é reprimir nada. É presença. Respirar antes de responder. Observar antes de julgar. Aceitar o que não pode ser mudado e agir com tudo sobre o que está nas suas mãos. E, principalmente, entender que isso não vem de uma vez. Ninguém nasce sabendo governar a própria mente. Isso é treino, todo dia, igual musculação.

Se me perguntassem sobre FPSO naquela época, eu diria que era assunto do pessoal de produção. Aí veio o EF100, programa de eficiência operacional do E&P da Petrobras, e eu tive a oportunidade de atuar como gerente de projetos. O programa é cross no E&P, multidisciplinar, mais de 20 iniciativas já no início, distribuídas entre pilares de gestão, eficiência, tecnologia e processos. Foi ali que o universo dos FPSOs se abriu para mim, com toda a sua complexidade. E foi ali que conheci o Marcelo Eduardo Spessatto Ramis, sponsor e líder do programa na época. Hoje nos reencontramos na quinta edição do SPE Brazil FPSO Symposium. Ele, como Event Chair e Gerente Executivo de Projetos e Pré-Operação de Búzios, que passou de 1 milhão de barris por dia antes do prazo. Eu, como alguém que aquele programa transformou: amadureci como gestor, ganhei visão de produção e nunca mais olhei para o offshore do mesmo jeito. O EF100 continua vivo, entregando produção adicional e mirando plataformas remotas até 2030. Programa bom é assim: a gente passa por ele, mas ele não passa pela gente. A nova pista da Via Dutra já começa a mostrar como será o futuro desse trecho tão importante entre Rio e São Paulo. A obra prevê 16 km de novas pistas, quatro faixas em cada sentido, acostamentos, 24 viadutos e rampas de escape. A primeira fase já entregou 4 km da nova subida e 8 viadutos. A conclusão de todo o projeto está prevista para 2027.

SAP has step ahead on digital world moving into S/4 Hana solution enabling its interface with Artificial intelligence AI. what does it mean to oil and gas industry? Here’s a quick look of what AI should be able to do for us with the current state of technology: AI-Assisted Planning & Scheduling automates job scheduling based on resource availability and priority, and it can optimize workforce allocation to reduce idle time and delays (this should be possible, but I have not yet seen a robust implementation). Predictive maintenance (PdM) uses AI to analyze sensor data and detect early warning signs of failure. Helping organizations prevent breakdowns before they happen (various solutions out there that claim they do this). Condition-based monitoring (CBM) ensures real-time tracking of critical equipment, while AI-powered diagnostics help technicians quickly identify root causes and fix issues faster (this is coming with platforms tapping into AI to act as a subject matter expert and guide troubleshooting and problem solving). AI optimizes work order management, automating task prioritization so teams focus on the most critical jobs first, reducing backlog and downtime (I haven’t seen a solution that attempts this yet, but this should be possible).

Here we go, LS's Friends, #seap1 e #seap2 is getting closer. Petrobras is actually moving forward with the SEAP project. ➡️ The #SEAP project aims to unlock a new production frontier in Northeast Brazil. 🚀🚀🚀🚀Each FPSO will be capable of processing up to 120k barrels of oil per day and 12 mil cubic meters of natural gas, with the extracted oil noted for its high commercial quality (38–41° API). ➡️Why is this important? Stay with me... The sizeable gas reserves are particularly strategic, set to significantly boost domestic gas supply and reduce Brazil’s reliance on imports, aligning with national energy transition goals. Where are we? The BOT is in place, contractors will design, build, operate, and eventually transfer the FPSOs to Petrobras. What we know is that procurement is already advanced, with SBM Offshore leading the commercial process, albeit at higher-than-anticipated costs due to inflationary pressures and technical requirements. SEAP 2 is expected to start operations around 2030, with SEAP 1 following as an optional module - Let's see... ➡️ Where is the most important? Beyond enhancing national energy security, let's think together, #SEAP will introduce new offshore technology standards and economic opportunities in the Northeast, supporting Petrobras’s 2030 horizon strategy and boosting shareholder returns through expanded reserves and dividend policies.
