  • What a two days at Venture & Capital 2026. OKX Australia had the privilege of joining 650 of Australia's leading wholesale investors for one of the most substantive conversations we've been part of this year. Our CEO Shane Chandra took the stage for a keynote on Tuesday morning - sharing our perspective on where crypto is heading and the infrastructure being built to support institutional participation in digital assets. To everyone who stopped by our booth, attended the keynote, or took the time to have a conversation with our team - thank you. The depth of questions and engagement from the room was genuinely impressive. It's conversations like these that remind us why this industry matters. • Effective 26 June, Kate Cooper will step down as CEO of OKX Australia. During her tenure, Kate established OKX Australia’s presence in the market, overseeing the development of a licensed, institutionally engaged platform and built a credible voice within Australia’s digital finance ecosystem. We are grateful for her leadership and contributions to the business. Shane Chandra will succeed Kate as CEO of OKX Australia. Shane was the second employee of OKX in Australia and has led our legal team in the market for the the past three years. During that time, he played a key role in the business, leading our licence acquisition and the launch of our regulated products to market. Since joining OKX Australia, Shane has been closely involved in the company’s growth and development, bringing deep knowledge of the business and its strategic priorities to the role. We thank Kate for her contributions to OKX Australia and look forward to the company’s continued growth under Shane’s leadership.

  • Three days. 450+ delegates. Hundreds of conversations. This was the week that was #DECON2026. As Primary Partner of the Digital Economy Conference 2026, OKX Australia came to be part of the most substantive gathering Australian digital finance has seen in years. We left with a clearer sense of how much further the industry needs to go - and how much it's already moved. Across the week, the conversations that mattered most were the ones that didn't flinch. Regulatory roundtables, not to paper over complexity, but to collaborate and work together to unlock the critical next steps. Panels on the payment rails being built right now, and who will control settlement in the next generation of Australian finance - it was the depth of that work, not the size of the room that made the week worth it. From the OKX Australia team Helen Molloy joined the Retirement Rewritten panel to examine how self-managed super funds are integrating digital assets, within Australia's superannuation framework; Jacob Pritchard joined the Institutional Digital Asset Infrastructure session alongside leaders from Swyftx, Coinbase, Zerocap and Talos and Shane Chandra joined the Digital Assets Regulatory Roundtable - a discussion bringing together industry and the regulators in one room - the kind of forum that moves the dial. Kate Cooper participated in a roundtable on pathways for a strategic digital asset reserve; panels on productivity and competitive advantage and the payment rails reshaping money movement in Australia alongside Day 2's opening plenary keynote and fireside chat with Jamie Coutts CMT, CFTe. Monday nightsaw the #DECON2026 Family Feud with Drew Bradford's The Stable Geniuses managing to just edge out Kate Cooper's The Agent Economists - Drew is just as competitive it turns out, about stablecoins as he is about everything else. The conference closes. The work doesn't. Australia has the regulatory depth, the institutional depth and the research base. The coordination gap is the one thing fully in our hands and the window to close it is open for a little while longer. The industry this week felt different. Calmer, more grounded, and more serious about the opportunity than it has in years. That doesn't happen without the people who make the room worth being in. Congratulations to Amy-Rose Goodey, Alec O'Sullivan and Merilee L. who worked tirelessly to curate and produce a conference format and line-up that gave thought leaders a genuine reason to prepare, to present, and to stay in the conversation. The quality of what was on stage this week reflected the quality of the work that went into building it. That's not a small thing. The industry has a bright and promising future. OKX Australia is proud to have played a part in this week, and we look forward to continuing to do so. #DECON2026 #DigitalEconomy #AgentEconomy #OKXAustralia #DigitalAssets #DigitalFinance #OKXAustralia
