Guido Schade liked thisGuido Schade liked thisYesterday I spoke to a senior candidate returning after 12 months off.. → No kids → No health issues → Just.. took time off after 12 years of non stop work → 6 months turned into 12 (as it does 👀) Now here’s the part that didn’t sit right with me: “I was on $200k.. but I’ll take anything just to get back in” Let’s be clear… → A 12 month break does not erase 15 years of experience → Skills don’t suddenly disappear → The market doesn’t forget your value (and neither should you) Be represented at your worth not what you think you have to settle for! Time off shouldn’t come with a pay cut penalty🙈

Guido Schade liked thisGuido Schade liked thisRediscovering Retro Tech: My Palm Tungsten T3 Still Has Life Left in It While digging through some old gear, I found my Palm Tungsten T3—and to my surprise, it still works beautifully. The battery holds a solid charge 🔋 , the screen is crisp, and the stylus still feels oddly satisfying to use. But the real fun began when I installed a Commodore 64 emulator on it. Running some old-school BASIC code on a PDA from 2003 gave me a hit of nostalgia I didn’t know I needed. It’s wild to think that this compact device, once a productivity powerhouse, can now double as a retro coding playground. As a Technical Product Owner, it’s a reminder of how far mobile computing has come—and how some devices still hold up decades later.
