I like most things about this service so far, except for one major downfall… I quickly realized I’m not notified immediately of my incoming mail/package deliveries. This part of their service does not work as described based on the description of services provided. iPostal1 states that customers get immediate access to view deliveries as soon as the delivery is made. This has not the case for me. Every time I get an email notification from the sender that a delivery has been made to my virtual PO Box, I’m not able to see the delivery on the app(or on the web) until 24-48 hours later. EXTREMELY inconvenient to say the very least. I've also emailed their customer care 2 times about a week apart from each other in regards to this issue, with no response yet. I'd love to give 5 stars but with this issue I can't. Maybe if this issue is resolved, I can leave a better review.

IPostal1 is such an endless money pit I would not recommend to anyone I personally know. I travel so thought this might help out, until I looked at my bank statement. There is a fee renting from 1-3 dollar taken out of my account every time I go in to pick up my mail. Why wouldn’t I just get a standard P.O. Box that serves the same purpose and not have hours of pick up restricted by the business being open. This was never in any of the sign up process. Scanning or shredding mail is pointless when they’ll charge you 1.80 to shred a flyer from kohl’s you never requested or 1.00 to pick it up. Now, trying to cancel my account and it says I MUST buy a shred package in order to be done with their ridiculously overpriced useless service. I’ll save myself .80 cents if I pick it up in person so I’m doing that first thing today and then moving on. I really wish they wouldn’t hide these fees and charges in their sign up process because it makes me leave reviews such as this. I’ve probably spend over two hundred dollars in the course of a year to get mail I never even wanted or requested. Everything is such a scam these days.

I have no clue how old the app is however up until recently it was horrible so I assume(hopefully) it is somewhat new. Since the update fixes things have been much smoother sailing however there are still some extremely inconvenient inconsistencies such as; 1). The new mail scanned in often doesn’t notify you so I find myself thinking “we haven’t gotten mail in a while, that’s really odd” and then checking the app only to find a plethora of mail having been scanned in a few days ago. 2). Getting notified of new mail hours after I have already checked the app and seen the mail which always tricks you into thinking there is new mail on top of the mail that you had just noticed. It’s very possible that may be a problem with the person who works at the store I go to specifically maybe not scanning things in until much later in the day, hours after closing at times, that may be no fault of the app, but the odd inconsistent times and ways that you’re notified becomes extremely aggravating, but again, compared to the way it worked(or didn’t work) before all of this is a moot point. Overall I am very happy with the way the app works now but I think if I never dealt with it the way it used to be and haven’t experienced the improvement, I would most likely be unhappy still.

Seemed like a good idea…but it’s not.Gave this “service” 3 years to (im)prove and I’m done. The other critical reviews here are spot on. It isn’t convenient or reliable, except when it comes to taking the monthly fee and charging you for thier shortcomings.It’s just another app running on algorithms designed for profit before they sell out with probably one underpaid customer service rep located in some other part of the world.The app glitches constantly and overcharges for everything. It’s very profitable to blame things on a glitchy app. If you can’t delete the junk mail or you ask for a forward because you’re out of town caring for a parent with terminal cancer that doesn’t happen because the app is so lame, then you get charged storage for each peice of mail every day it isn’t attended to, it gets very costly, and your mail doesn’t get forwarded timely except to involve the local contractor who, like a gig worker, has to pay the overhead and meet government compliance, but gets paid peanuts for taking care of Ipostal’s errors while Ipostal profits, and you’ll never get resolution with Ipostal for the incorrect charges except by disputing with your credit card company.Do yourself and the local economy a favor and just pay the local contractor for a mailbox with real human customer service so you can get reliable service, talk to a real human being, save yourself endless headaches… and it’ll cost you less.
