Welcome! I am Ao Wang (王奥), a FinTech Ph.D. student at HKUST(GZ) and an alumnus of Tongji University. I received my B.Eng. and M.S. from Tongji, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in FinTech at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).
From 2019 to 2024, my work focused on blockchain systems and Web3 infrastructure. Since 2024, my focus has shifted toward AI agents and production-grade software systems. I have worked as a core or founding member at several startups backed by leading global investors, including HSG, Hillhouse Investment, Polychain Capital, and Coinbase Ventures, with total funding of RMB 100,000,000+.
Recently I have also been building OpenNomos and
PaperList.ai.

AI-assisted Finance. AI agents for financial research, decentralized trading, market monitoring, decision support, and workflow automation in FinTech systems.
Agent Systems & Evaluation Harnesses. Agent runtime architecture, tool-use orchestration, task planning, evaluation harnesses, trace/replay systems, monitoring, and reliability testing for production AI agents.
